Default Flawless Etherialite better than Shimmering Naga Scale?

I saved up 3 purple naga scales but people are saying purple etherialite may be better now.

Does anyone have a definitive answer on this?

    First, check this website:
    https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?...VE&hl=en#gid=0

It has the augments broken down as to what they do.

    Let's assume we're augmenting a chest.

    Flawless Ether: +12 Int = +6 SP, +12 sCrit
    Naga Scale: +6 Int, +3 SP. = +6 SP, +6 sCrit

Well, they did buff the purple primary stat augments. The one I put in my crafted ring added 8 int (for a total of 30 int on that ring, yay for crafted rings nearly BiS). I know it adds different amounts of int depending on what its crafted into too, i.e. the chest gets more.

If you know how much the purple naga scales add to rings, it should be easy to compare which is better.

Edit: Hah, frak beat me to it, with a much more informative post... well played sir. :P

    Thanks for that link!

It's a while ago but you better keep them. Their time will come. ;)
