    Default rogue vs mage 1.4

    im at about 1040 valor now..

    and im having less problems with warriors since 1.4

    however rogues, which pre 1.4 were a breeze..

    give me a hell of time, the bleed, and MM specs hit me twice a shard as before..

    and im seeing a growing number of nightblade/infiltrators goign around

    kinda tired of seeing immune, immune, immune, immune, miss miss miss miss


    and thats not to CC, thats to my fking dmging spells

    any non self healing mage stands NO chance at all against an equaly geared/skilled rogue whom is has stuns, interupts and can be immune to your spells on 3 occasions in 1 confrontation

    anti mage much?

    Easy fix is put DR on immunity CDs.

    Damage immunity is just another form of CC.

    absolutely,

    OR make them cc'able while immune to damaging spells.

    or if you use cleanse soul, you cant use blackout for 30 seconds, etc

    but mixing offensive cc with defensive immunites adds to alot of downtime for a mage, especially for a mage relying on dots, or a sc who relys on stacks of electrify

    now for the mages who can self heal, they need to waste gcds on trying to dispel the heal debuff, thats more downtime


    do any mage builds have immunity to physical damage and effects?
    can i use an ability which makes a rogue lose his combo points on me?

    no

    and if anyone tells me to go 21 into the am tree ****

    Yeah, the problem is the lack of defensive cds for mages. Rogue immunities would be fine if we could use a defensive cd to counter them, but we can't. Any non-healing mage spec dies during the 14 sec immunity of a NB or the 5 sec immunity + hit and run of a MM.

    We need something like phase shift that doesn't consume charge and that's accessible for 10-15 points in our non chloro / warlock / dom souls. It would make hybrids without these souls more viable.

    not to mention our two lock surivability cds are dispellable

    Yeah, which leaves us without any defense against a MM.

    But the best thing to do imo would be to make all PvP souls a "4th soul" with their own soul points. They would need a massive overhaul but it's the best way to fix mages by adding defensive cds into the defensive line of our PvP soul.

    i mean whenver i go a spec without a chloro tree i end up flipping out and switching right back ot lock chloro

    its the only choice to recover from all the stun and silence effects we recieve from melee..

    coming out of a 5 second stun to hav the rogue then use cleanse soul is ridiculous and i thought trion would have learned a lesson from WoW

    players want to pvp, not be stunned to death and have all their casts be immune

    I have been seeing these miss & miss alot these days. I usually play stormcaller and with these misses, I really can't do much, but to embrace the spawn point again.
