    Could be a nice dps boost!

    sigh... transference is screwed, no answer for the rogue/warrior stunlocking 2 globaling.

    Also noticed this gem that they left out of the mage thread.

    Addressing issues with healing in PVP focusing on instant and passive healing, reducing the effectiveness of healing for targets involved in PVP combat. This should help with a number of issues related to general Cleric survivability and effectiveness. These changes only affect active PVP combat, they have no impact on normal PVE gameplay.

    * Chloromancer: Reduced the healing effectiveness of Bloom and Essence Surge when the target is in PvP combat.
    * Necromancer: Reduced the healing effectiveness of Soul Purge when the target is in PvP combat.
    * Dominator: Reduced the damage of Split Personality's Void Bolts in PvP combat.
    *Snipped Random non-mage stuff*
    So because clerics are god mode healers in pvp, they nerf mages.

    A lot of important changes to mage too listed in the pvp section
    healing is getting an overall reduction as is dominator mana drains, and split personality is getting void bolts lowered in pvp, and also a small soul purge nerf I believe?

    Anyways imo the changes look great Can't wait to see how sc plays out after this, and how pvp balancing is.

    Yeah, I saw that too, I was just pointing out they they commented on cleric's healing being out of whack, then the first thing on the list is a nerf to mage healing :P

    well it would help to know the magnitude of the healing nerf in pvp I think, its a little vague atm :/ and knowing the effect of these changes really depends on that, it could be anywhere from trivial to massive changes in spec viability. I guess I like the recognition of healing being slightly better on avg than dps (yes even chloro), idk we'll just have to wait and see how these turn out imo.

    Charge consumption won't make Pyro/Ele or Pure Pyro viable (both are comparable DPS btw, one is just higher burst, feel free to test it).

    All the other charge consumption tweaks... What is the reasoning behind any of these? 35/31 Lock/Necro never runs into charge issues, it spends most of its time refreshing DoTs and interrupting Soul Purge to place Grave Rot (the ideal time to place a AOE which also btw there is yet to be a target centered AOE option added0. 51 Warlock is not viable at all, tweaking charge issues on it won't change much. So as it stands with these changes, charge skills won't be seeing much of an update. Withering Flames I'm sure will still bet affected by knockback + not apply the last tick properly 99% of the time resulting in being omitted from specs as it won't perform as needed. Soul Purge is still near 100% uptime when not refreshing dots in lock/necro, so all this will do is up the highest dps spec currently to be more of the highest DPS spec, which I'm glad to see, but unless the effects in Warlock are massive I see nothing at all in these notes to suggest 35/31 lock/necro and 34/32 sc/ele being upset as the ST and AOE kings of DPS and yet,

    Lightning Burst will either become the top DPS skill in SC along with Eye of the storm (incredibly high, but far too long a CD to be considered viable going 51. Either way, the most important change SHOULD be this:

    NORMALIZING WEAPON ENCHANTS LIKE WHETSTONES + SPARKSTONES + ADJUSTING SPOTTER'S ORDERS ACCORDINGLY.

    ^^^^^^^ Will balance DPS far faster than tweaking 20 separate skills and it's hardly a band-aid fix either. It's the quickest way to bring in line several classes.

    Cancel your subscriptions, mages, there are changes that MIGHT happen! There's no way the 1.4 notes aren't permanent yet!
