    Default Grave Rot/Plague Bolt?

I've been following the necrolock rotations posted in this forum, but I've been having some difficulty with Grave Rot positioning. Is it worth it to use Plague Bolt to keep my DC stacks topped up, or should I just stick to Grave Rot?

Additionally, if my DC stacks are at 5, do I still need to cast Grave Rot again?

Finally, regarding Soul Purge, when is it the proper time to cast it in a 35 lock/31 necro build?

Your pet eats your DC when they attack and for some pet , having high DC stack increase their dmg by a ton.It depend on your pet you used
For reference: for Shadow Revenant, Blood corruption can hit for 500~1.5k if full stack.
As for soul Purge, just spam when you have full charges, it is the highest dmg dealer a necro/lock has.

The reason the poster uses plague bolt is because pets are pathetically programmed when it comes to using their abilities. They have a delay of up to 1 second before using an attack, and with heavy necro can account for another 10% or so of your damage. He ignores soul purge because I don't think you can effectively macro in pet attacks with it and from testing (even using the standard warlock/necro build) using soul purge is a dps loss if you macro in pet attacks to your standard attack.

While stacks of deathly calling are nice for pet damage, without warlock, using grave rot is arguably a dps loss, also one less spammable click for your pet. So the poster recommened plague bolt instead, which has works out to be higher damage overall. Odd but that's the way it is
