Default Chloromancer is not fun anymore for me.

I'm a new Chloromancer...just level 16 now. I wanted to use that soul to level to 50.

I'm sorry to say that I'm not enjoying playing this soul anymore. I don't feel any synergy between the spells.

Now I know I can change souls, but I don't want to...I wanted to level to 50 as a Chloromancer. It feels like I'm pulling a ton of bricks whenever I engage a mob.

My main damage spell is a 2 sec cast with a 1 sec cool down and I have to use that because it is a life spell.

I added Dominator for the instant cast, but it doesn't proc my DOT for healing...and well, i go down very fast now.

I mostly PVE. I tried PVP and was pretty useless even in the healing dept.

Oh I tried Elementalist (zero pts) with Chloro but the pet doesn't keep agro and dies very quickly.

This is my opinion, I know others probably feel differently, but I wanted to let the devs know, that this is not a fun soul anymore.

You need to feel the synergy when playing a soul. I hope there is someone who understands what I mean.

If this game is focused on PVP then, ok. Let us know. I am not focused on PVP. I want a great PVE experience that is fun. I'm not having any fun right now.

This is not sour grapes...this is the way it is.

Heh, try playing pyro.. Even with full talents spec, cast times are 2 sec and 1 is 4.8 or something. Cast times in general need to be corrected and/or they need to adjust the ICD of spells.

Try using the soul to heal someone, then talk about synergy.

Edit: I wanted to also include a funny illustration: Leveling as a chloro is like trying to play fetch with your cat.

So Chloro is not a viable soul?

The Chloromancer is a healing specialist who draws on the vital energies of plants and nature to find a balance between life and death. This allows them to harness energies into a devastating force or recycle destructive magic to heal their allies.

    What happened?

You excel at healing a chosen target, not yourself. Your damage output is about 40% of a normal damage dealer, so you're going to level painfully slow.

Necro / Lock is what I was using for steady kills with no downtime, but heck you've just started playing the game if you're only level 16.

Just wait 'til you hit 50, mate. There's nothing more fun in this game than spamming Void Life.

And to the OP, there are some souls that simply aren't fun to level as. Try leveling as a Rogue BARD... NOT FUN!

Chloro is an awesome soul, but fundamentally it is built around healing you and your allies. No allies == chloro is less fun.

That said, I love chloro/ele as a levelling build. That pile of rocks becomes unstoppable with your heals.
You can play WoW in any MMO. You don't have to play WoW in RIFT. Oh, and no, RIFT is not a WoW clone. Not having fun any more? Learn to play, noob! I don't speak for Riftui, but I moderate stuff there. Just came back? Welcome back! Here's what's changed. (Updated for 2.5!)

Trion happened. I wouldn't worry, see what they change into next patch! Maybe they will get it right next try.

That was my original build but I found my pet wouldn't hold aggro any more. Did you have the same issue?

I'm trying to figure out how the changes made it all that different for a level 16 full Chloro. I mean you would have JUST picked up NT if you were full spec.

Just did an invasion. Was part of a Rift closing group, had Lifebound on the tank. Healed just fine. Invasion boss popped, met up with the rest of the raid, moved over to Lifegiving. Healed just fine.

Lastly, leveling with Chloro isn't bad at all. Get 7-10 into Warlock depending on taste for mana early on and it should be a breeze. It isn't going to set any records for speed, but it will be easy.

With the Nature's Fury change (when you can get that far in the soul), solo'ing with Chloro main is actually pretty nice. I have no problems whatsoever solo'ing the Mathosian dailies in groups of 4-5 with LGV up.

Chloro is more fun now than it was before, at least for me. More abilities to use, better access to the important ones (Wild Growth + Essence Surge)... Maybe PvE healing needs a tweak, but I'm feeling pretty good in PvP right now.
