Default Quote from a dev, Mages will be less OP

Alpha isn't over and we still have a number of issues we are looking at. Specifically two issues that are already on their way up are
•Ground of power stuns now properly work with stun diminishing returns
•Fixed the bug that was causing runesheild to be permanent
    •Added a cooldown to runeshield.

All 3 of which are PVP based fixes and will not effect PVE performance.

Obviously, the dev had a brain fart, and meant GoS rather than GoP.

You can stop crying about mage stuns now, everyone. Pyros will end up making the entire enemy team immune to stuns after a few seconds of AoE stuns.

Cd on runeshield seems a little unneeded, I figured fixing the bug would have been fine. I mean jeeze it lasts only 30 seconds which means you will only pop it most likely AFTER you're getting beat on now since you cant just use it whenever you have charge. Kinda dumb imo.

You are on crack if you think pyro stun doesn't need a fix.

Pyro has highest burst. A stun with no diminishing return is stupid.

I would say this game needs less stun. RNG stun is even more stupid.

I said you can stop QQing because they are fixing the bug that causes the stun to have no DR.

Meaning, the stuns will have a DR....

The tone of your post is that pyro stun is not Oped and should not be fixed. I play my pyro myself. Who is crying any way?

The only one that is crying is you.

These are all reasonable changes and I consider them more in the realm of bug fixes than nerfs. As mentioned by others, no DR on pyro stuns really is indefensible.

Not sure about indefensible, but considering it was a 30% chance, and could apply unlimited, either it needed DR or a lower % chance.

    Default DR

DRs need to be in an MMO, with these types of spam spells etc.. Being stun locked for more than 4-5 seconds is sort of ridiculous. Anyone that QQs about not being able to constantly stun people are just looking for an easy way out on learning how to play a game. Good to know these changes, Ty OP of the OP and the OP.

The indefensible part comes when you mix the lack of DR on stuns with aoe on chokepoints. 2-3 pyros spamming aoe could deny an area more or less until their mana ran out, or forever in practical terms. I've abused the practice myself, particularly in Port Scion.

So, yeah. Saw this bug fix a mile away.

I haven't played pyro in pvp in a long time, I always end up going chloro in WFs, so if PvE is not affected I can live with DR.

I don't really think there was a way they could really lock a choke hold... at whatever range they are launching it, others can damage them from 5 meters further or more... it's just they could lock dumb players. at 50 where you're talking there are soo many tools that there's no reason any group really should of been locked by even 3 pyros.

The concept needs to be totally rethought really, rather than nerfed. All you're achieving now is making your enemy immune to stuns after 3 sec stun in total (without skills that reduce/break stuns).

A calling has to be OP before they can be less OP. PvE-wise, I wouldn't mind being OP when in chloro.

I still say DR == BAD. IMMUNITY is the way to go, from first CC application.

it just makes them immune to your stuns right? If it's all I'd rather have the option to just avoid the stun or toggle it somehow.
