    Default Necro Pets

Just got the necro mage pet, what a joke. Why would i EVER use it instead of rouge pet?

Also disappointed that there is like no difference between greater and lesser skeletons, besides ONE!! skill, as you can see below:

    lesser: http://i53.tinypic.com/2vwtd13.jpg

Srsly, you should expect a bit more from a GREATER SKELETON summon than just 1 extra skill.

Please note this is a level 30 pet vs level 50 pet.

I am dissapointed to say the least

Regarding the mage pet - its useful on aoe pulls.

Why would you want to use a single target zeal on those? Mage pet can spike up to 200 dps on good aoe pulls.

According to the tooltip they get 35% reduced damage from aoe spells (+2% for each point in necro above 21 points)

So thats pretty much it + the skill that you mentioned. But yeah one expected a little more.

This should be looked into -

Considering we need to spend alot of point's for Advanced pets and if the difference is minimal to the normal one there obviously is bug somewhere -

Is this same with elementalist/rangers/beastmasters ?

I'm lvl 35 and my Zealot hits with Blood Spike around 350-450 damage every 4-5 secs, which doesn't sound like much but coupled with all my DoTs, Soul Purge and Opportunity procced Void Bolts, it helps a ton.

The lesser Skeleton damage doesn't even come close.

I don't like idea of throwing away older skills because you have upgraded version now. Both pets should be the same good on your level but for different purposes.

To get the most from your mage pet, you need to work him in AOE situations, as well as spec into Vengeful Spirit. A 3 point block at the top of the Necro tree to increase his effectiveness.
