    Default Cleric patch changes

Can we get more info on what the heck this means? Someone who can translate for me, lol

    http://forums.riftgame.com/general-d...17-2019-a.html

PVP: Fixed a bug where some abilities were bypassing the PvP healing modifiers. The following abilities are now modified correctly:

    Cleric:
    Legendary Flash of the Phoenix
    Reprieve
    Legendary Aggressive Avarice
    Legendary Summon: Faerie Healer
    Ravaging Darkness

    My main questions are:
Was the Faerie Healer healing for too much? Or not enough?
Is Legendary Flash of the Phoenix healing for more now after the patch?

I just respec'ed so I have the legendary faerie healer now. I'm having trouble identifying changes to LFotP. Seems like it heals the same amount as it did before.

For fairy healer : no it wasn't healing too much and now it heals like sh it. Gamingo just doesn't know the actual """""balance"""""" between classes. It was a way to be abble to take damage waiting the time your heretic sanction goes to the last 6seconds, the time to put all the dot/debuff on target, etc, etc.

For Flash of phoenix for what i've see there is still a good heal linked to the spell with the mastery level 63 (or64 can't remember) but not as effective as before.

There's a modifier when you enter pvp that bolsters stats, gear and damage/healing output of all abilities. Some abilities/gear and items don't obey by the modifier. This is what that means. They tried to get these abilities to obey the modifier.
In the wise words of my professor.. Did you read?

In other words you can't use that purifier bug anymore that I mentioned to you. And now clerics sustain is terrible (the only thing they relied on in PvP as they didn't have the damage capabilities of a warrior or rogue).

They might change cleric soon in terms of damage, but I doubt it will help much in PvP. The nature of inquisitor at least was to cc, sustain and outmanouver it's enemy. They can't cc anymore as cc in the game just isn't viable, and now they have no sustain, so ye, they're a glass cannon every 2 mins that can be interrupted without any sustain. It's pretty bad news.

It was a fix, but a fix that made balance worse, because it hit clerics far harder than other dmg classes.

I still don't understand what the bug was, though.

The bug was that those abilities were behaving like they do in PVE and ignoring the PVP modifiers (nerfs).

Some abilities still have nerfs on top of the PvP reductions. They just made some of the ones that were not properly cut by the global reduction fully cut by the global reduction.

I would stick to marshal classes if PvP is your thing. Primalist is still the best healer. Mage still have a good healing spec too but nowhere near primalist.
