Default About the Oracle soul icon

    The icon in question:

What is the icon supposed to represent? Is it supposed to be Akylios (from looking at videos)? Or is it a generic tentacle monster? (insert tentacle monster joke here)

Anyway, looking forward to the Oracle; or rather, all of them.

The motifs are all there for a good oracle icon. It would probably be better if the eye didn't look so organic though. If they remove the wrinkles and made the middle eye circle like the outside circles, it would be perfect.

An oracle was traditionally someone (usually elderly) that imparted sage counsel. They were also said to be powerful precognicists and so it doesn't take too much of a leap to see the reason for the eye on the center of the glyph.

Yaarielle is likely correct on the water reference which would explain the tentacles. I have no clue what the four runes mean at the center of each tentacle end.

The tentacle-eye is most likely referring to the water basis of the soul, as Akylios (and most of the Plane of Water) seems to be heavily into insight and deep knowledge (oh look, Oracles have both of those), while the runes are simply indications of the sigil/rune basis of the soul (like how cabalists are totally into sigils).

    Exactly. All this.

This is very much a mix of:
1)What a soul based on the Hammerknell stuff would be (The Past) - dreams, arcane magicks
2)The upcoming story which will likely have to do with fulfillment of prophecy, possible futures and other timelines, etc (The Future)
3)Using runes as a big part of this, from what I've seen?

I like it . Very fitting.
