    Default Defiler / Cab PVP Comeback?

    I was testing out 38/38 for the sake of hybrid DPS for ST with the Cabby changes to Obliterate (now increasing disintegration and tyranny of death to 250%, Curse +10% damage change and Dark Water stacking).

    The target dummy damage was pretty weak, even w/ 20% Rage Blight stacked. However - it was pretty solid burst for PvP.

    On a player wearing full R80 gear with full valor - setup was:

    1. Marrow Harvest
    2. Curse of Discord (+10% damage)
    3. Tyranny of Death
    4. Disintegration

    This rotation lands MH, ToD and Disintegration all simultaneously for the following damage:

    MH = 3-3.5k
    Tyranny of Death = 3-3.5k
    Disintegration = 6-7.5k

    Very hefty burst damage every 15 seconds. I was wearing R70 gear when using this rotation and only had Flaring Sigil active on my weapon. No other consumables.
    Also I did not have Rage Blight stacked which adds +20% damage in this build.

    In a 40/36 build you might lose 5% of your damage output, but gain Explosive Growth + Dark Passage for CC breaks.

    Worth testing more if I can find some additional PvP partners on Testlive. Overall, I don't find it to be "OP" due to the considerable setup required, it's completely cleanseable, and this spec has slightly shorter range. Explosive Growth is useful to survive, but as it consumes GCDs to cast and activate, your DPS is shut down when focus fired.

    My Cabafiler's Obliterated Disintegrate with rageblight can easily crit people for 7-8k in PvP already. But then, so can a Pyromancer (not with Disintegrate obviously... you understand what I mean). :I

    I can't wait for the changes to go live!

    and then tyranny, curse & marrow harvest are cleansed off

    leaving you with a messed up burst combo that gets easily healed off

    cool but not viable

    This is already the issue with Inquisitor... Scourge / Vex / SH are cleansed off and Nysyr's is insanely easy to interrupt / LoS / Range. I love my Inq builds, but this hybrid has the potential to catch people unaware with some very solid burst. It's main limitation being the 15s CD on disintegration, so it's best used with some focus fire to finish a target...

    Clerics will still be weak against healers, but the trade-off is they can become the best PvP healers. Sounds pretty legit!

    If you're ever wondering if a cleric ability will be nerfed here's the test to see if it will:

    1) equip BiS pvp R80 gear
    2) fully buff
    3) find opponent who is fresh lvl 60 with no pvp gear
    4) fully debuff them
    5) use your ability(s)

    if they get "1-shot" or even remotely close, it will be nerfed

    keep in mind, this is only for clerics, the other classes are OK with that

    Time to nerf Shaman then right!? I mean, FW + Deep Freeze + Massive Blow will pretty much 1-shot anyone not wearing valor gear, and if not you can always finish them off with a super quick Glacial Strike cause they're definitely below 30%!

    No, but 4 serious, I hope this goes live tomorrow cause it would be an enjoyable change of pace from my normal inquisitor destro-mode.

    I'm usually not one to criticize, but it feels like people in the other class forums don't have the same "stop" button as in the cleric forum. I rarely see people go "that would be too powerful" over there. :P But perhaps that's just because I'm here right now and my memory is garbled, hopefully.

    Would it really be too powerful to increase Caba damage to within 80-90 % of Inquisitor? Hardcore raiders will always use the best spec for an encounter anyways, so no amount of balancing will ever make other than "the" spec used.

    That said, can't wait for the changes to go live. Go go Kervik!!!
