    Default Shaman VS Inquisitor parses

Hi guys, could you please parse both Shaman and Inquisitor at the dummy, and post your parses so we can compare the difference between our ranged dps and melee dps, and show whether or not Shaman needs a buff.

Write down stats for each spec
    No consumables
    Self buffed

i'll start on my second post, thanks.

    See you all in Wildstar!

I can't link my parses as I am at work.

Shaman is now ahead of Inquisitor by about 400 for me. (4100 SP 18% Crit 200 CP.)

Personal opinion, Shaman still needs a buff compared to other callings Melee (12.5k or so for mages, 13k for warrior), most likely by removing or reducing the 17% dmg reduction on furious assault.

Yup, the damage reduction is unnecessary for ST DPS. This is already a melee spec, complicated, has disconnect issues (DoTs especially and MB driving the DPS), and the 1s GCD isn't pushing it to the same level as any other melee DPS spec.

I believe that the damage reduction should apply to only AoE... The AoE for shaman is disgustingly good.

Even without the GCD reduction, I can pull upwards of 25k DPS on 8 targets using a very easy rotation, and my Inquis can only do only about 18k.

For best comparison... how are you utilizing Furious Assault.

Shamans are really nice now than before. I would still wish they had a bit more dps power. Sigh i would play a shaman but I hate playing a melee in this game.

Agreed, but i'd like to remind you of Riftblade AoE. I do not wish to see different set of rules for Warriors and Clerics.

Shaman can easily do 35k+ aoe damage on large packs, although warriors can do the same in similar spec. I agree that the damage reduction is unnecessary.

IF the rduction was lowered to, say, 10% for single target and 20% for AoE, it would make things a bit better.

17% is... a rather strange number.

Regardless, Shaman DPS is much closer to what it should be. Just a tickle more would be nice.

Don't have my parses on hand, but I was pulling 8.2-8.3k in shaman versus 8.4-8.5k in inq with 4150 sp. Seemed backwards until I remembered the %5 damage increase from BoD, so taking that into account (i.e. assuming your raid already has someone else putting it up), I have sham ahead by just a couple of hundred dps. Hardly seems worth it for a melee spec and more finicky rotation, though I admit on certain fights where you need to switch st to aoe it could be good.

Easily can push higher then that. But yea the damage reduction if anything should be applied to AoE and not as much to ST.

PS: Byona ill try and get some comparison parses up soon.. but every time i try and get it done... something interrupts the process lol.

Without much practice on the shaman, it pulled about 100-200 less than inquisitor for me. This is of course with the Unified Theory bug, but still. Shaman should be higher. Need to apply the damage reduc only for aoe (40k aoe lololol)

Shaman AoE is extra ridiculous now, as in higher than Cabalist maybe, because of the double damage on spread Frozen Wrath.

I'm not a big fan of this new trend of giving lots of classes a 1s GCD. It just seems lazy - well we have to increase dps so let's just reduce their GCD. Repeat for Warlord, Paragon, Tempest, etc etc. Shaman GCD reduction is even named the same as the Harbinger talent.

(Mostly I don't like it because now I have to press more).

I get that the 61 pt has to be some big Wow thing so that hybrids aren't always the best but there's other things you can do. Like making Jolt oGCD again. Of course seeing how the game treats that with the RB bursts that would still kind of suck.

What's this unified theory bug though?
