    Default cleric reveal better be epic!!!!

    i just got finished watching the mage reveal. in addition to the showcase on the new soul, all of their previous souls are getting minor to major overhauls. looks like mages are getting mostly everything they've been asking for, more mobility, more defense in pvp, more soloabilty, more synergy for chloro, pvp healing tweaks, etc... and a bunch of cool stuff on top of all that melee, stealth...

    i just hope ours goes as well, because clerics are asking for a lot. and we need a lot of work

    i hope you have thought out the effects that clinging spirits puts on cleric dps and its options for specs. if more specs had clinging spirits/equivalent debuff or had access to it(lower in inquis tree) maybe we wouldn't all be forced to go inquis for our icar specs or pure dps specs just so that we can keep a debuff up in raids.

    un-nerf/tweak cabalist. i mean seriously look at sab. then look back at cab. we need better dps cd's. more single target attacks revolving around decays

    fix our scaling with our pure dps souls. time for the band aid to be taken off.

    fix brutalize. period.

    and lets do something more fun with our melee dps souls. rotation(lol) is boring and dull. only thing fun about it is the charges..

    these are just the entry level top layer of the very hefty cleric cake of woes

    Indeed mage review was EPIC to say the least... there was a scene when he gets knockback and shoots three instant fireballs, that looked sexy lol.

    My biggest QQ would be if they didn't give us mobility like they gave them, Cleric mobility was worse than Mages to begin with, they at least had Flicker, i want those port back and so on abilities that we saw on the podcast.

    Just imagine, if in our review they said ( Mien of Aggression 50%, see you after 2 weeks for next class review ) lol xD

    Agreed, it was awesome. I want to make my mage my main atm!

    Agreed, the fact cab has stayed in its current state when you look at Sab is a bit ridiculous!

    Scaling and/or base damage needs adjust, yes.

    fix brutalize. period.
    Make the ability to reset Massive Blow a follow up attack to crushing blow, problem solved.

    They mentioned something in the livestream today about wanting to get away from all macro rotations and I hope so for clerics too.

    I thought it was amazing too.

    The thing that sticks out in my mind is, the BIG thing I saw, MAGES ARE GETTING AN ICAR spec.

    -ICAR in many peoples mind is what holds cleric DPS back in many peoples mind.

    Well, you know where I am going with this...

    LET MY PEOPLE CROSS THE RIVER; FIX OUR CLERIC DPS SOULS !

    Anyhow I am really stoked about the new mage soul. It looked so awesome. Hopefully the shaman revamp will be getting some love like what the mage soul got. Hopefully the revamp for the rest of the cleric DPS souls puts us EQUAL with all the other DPS souls in the game.

    And finally... If the new cleric soul is 1/4 as amazing as the mage soul looked I will be pleasantly surprised. If not then wow, I've wasted so much time getting my PA to near max'ed out on my cleric.

    I hope Clerics ask in our podcast the following question:
    (Will Clerics be competitive with the other classes DPS now? if not, are they supposed to?)

    Would be nice to hear them answer that on the podcast.

    Indeed, there is so much awsome stuff lined up for mages! Not to mention a possible icar contender with chloro-harbinger!

    The silouette for SL looks like a shield bearing shoul with some sort of holy buff showing round their legs which suggests a 2nd tanking soul

    I had a feeling it would be tank since, to me, the biggest 'hole' is having nothing to pair Justicar up with for tanking.

    I have my fingers crossed in hopes that most, if not all of the issues with clerics are addressed, our low dps, lack of synergy, mobility & survivability in any usefull spec and awfull mana management are becoming game breaking for me.

    Being the worst at almost everything in pve and getting chewed up by everything that moves in pvp gets boring pretty fast :/

    New mage soul looks OP as ****, i wouldn't be surprised if it saw some big nerfs before it get released, or after SL drops. It's literally a warrior+ rogue + mage in one soul, what the ****.

    The cleric reveal will make or break the game for many clerics in my opinion. The combination of the healing nerfs and loss of synergy on many fronts, in conjunction with the piss poor dps in comparison to other classes, has left many feeling left behind, ignored, and lost.

    The cleric is still a strong class, and an important piece in the game, but its certainly not what it should be. Even the builds that are special in the sense of what they bring to the table, are not seen as "good" builds but rather "necessary" builds. I refer mostly to DoL (lolololol if you will) builds.

    After the Mage reveal (which i thought brought some very interesting, impressive, and amazing info and ideas to the community), i can honestly say that Trion has set themselves up to fail on the other reveals because they must be equally impressive or at least come close. I have high hopes because of what i saw and im sure many others do as well. I trust in Trion, but that doesn't mean i cant also have doubts and concerns. The word on the street was that the cleric soul overhaul was going to be the most extreme of all the class soul overhauls. Nothing confirmed of course but there are certainly reasons to believe this. Warden needs adjustments and buffs; Sentinel needs tweaks to shine in the current raid environment; AoE healing needs an overhaul in general; Cab needs adjustments and buffs and needs to have an identity; Shaman/Druid need tweaks and buffs; And all souls need better synergy. The biggest concern, is of course, the issues with scaling that created the need for band aid fixes such as Mien of Aggression.

    At the end of the day, the cleric needs to have its identity reinvented on several fronts, and the first step is an impressive reveal that will reinvigorate the cleric community. Zinbik all i can say is.... i hope your confident and excited for whats to come, and i wish you luck on reveal day for clerics.

    Dominator
    - Malevolent Shield 1/1 - Tier 8 (36-40) - Instant, Cooldown 20s, Range 30m, Charge +9
    Absorbs 50% of healing done to the enemy, up to a total of 2262 health over 10s.
    - Pain Armor 61pt root - Increases the Mage's damage by 15%. When hit, deals Death Damage equal to 20% of damage taken to all enemies affected by the Mage's crowd control abilities. This damage does not break crowd control.

    Harbinger
    - Magnetic Blade 5/5 - Tier 3 (11-15) - Blade Buffs increase your chance to Parry attacks by 2/4/6/8/10% and increase the damage of your Slashing attacks by 1/2/3/4/5%
    - Eldritch Armor 1/1 - Tier 2 (6-10) - Grant's the Mage's Slashing attacks a 50% chance to reduce the cast time of their next ability by 2 seconds. This ability cannot occur more than once every 3s.
    - Eldritch Reply 2/2 - Tier 4 (16-20) - When you Dodge or Parry an attack, you have a 100% chance to reduce the cast time of your next ability by 2s and cause it to not trigger the global cooldown.
    - Conditioned Response 1/1 - Tier 6 (26-30) - Instant, Cooldown 30s, Charge +9
    Restores 1881 to 2079 health to the Mage. Cooldown is reset if the Mage is critically hit. Cannot reset more than once every 5 seconds.
    - Desperate Response 3/3 - Tier 7 (31-35) - Gives your Conditioned Response a 20/40/60% chance to reset its cooldown when you are damaged while below 50% health. Cannot occur more than once every 5s.
    - Blade Shield 2/2 - Tier 8 (36-40) - Your Planar Shield now reduces the incoming damage of the next 7 attacks.
    - Reaper's Blade 1/1 - Tier 9 (41pt) - Summons a deadly scythe of magical energy. Slashing attacks deal an additional 506 Life damage and heals the Mage by 213. Any other damaging attacks have a 20% chance to trigger this effect. Increases the Mages damage by 10% for 6s if an enemy dies within 5s of the Mage damaging them.
    - Leaf on the Wind 5/5 - Tier 1 (1-5) - Increases your Dodge chance by 2/4/6/8/10%
    - Eldritch Knowledge 5/5 - Tier 1 (1-5) - Increases your Spellpower by 2/4/6/8/10%
    - Phase Step ??pt Root - Instant, Cooldown 30s, Range 15m, Charge +9
    Teleports the Mage behind up to 5 enemies, dealing 4623 to 5110 Air damage plus weapon damage to each.
    - Phantom Blades ?? - Instant, Cooldown 30s, Range 30m
    Increases the range of the Mage's single target melee range attacks to 30m for 15s.
    - Glaring Fetters ??pt Root - Instant, Cooldown 20s, Range 30m, Charge +9
    Snares the enemy, reducing their movement speed by 30%. Deals 1429 Life Damage each second the enemy is moving.
    - Planar Retreat ?? - Instant, Cooldown 30s, Melee range
    Stuns for 5s and teleports the Mage backwards 20m. Removes all crowd control effects.
    - Blazing Light ??pt Root - Instant, Melee Range, Charge +9
    Deals 7130 Life damage over 8s. Increases the Mage's Dodge chance by 10%
    I really think they are just bringing us all up to warrior level. It doesn't look like they plan to nerf that warrior build but just give all the classes the tools they need to be on equal footing.

    I mean if the mage soul is going to be getting parry/Dodge, teleports in and out, roots, stuns, damage reductions and others - Doesn't it make sense that all melee including the druid and shaman get similiar such upgrades to put them on equal footing?

    It also looks as if the non-melee souls of the mage are getting boosted so I must believe that the non-melee cleric souls are getting boosted as well.

    So... This is how trion is dealing with the warrior OP souls. I guess when they get all the souls up to the warrior level the OP'ness of the OP'ness just disappears (becomes the norm). Could that be why we have seen no nerfs to the warrior?

    On another tangent. While I really think the cleric needs a second tank soul I still don't believe it will happen. The logic behind my thinking is that the devs have stated they wanted to give each class something new and exciting. A second tank soul, well, thats not new or exciting. Sure it would be welcomed but it just doesn't fit what we have been told. They are going for outside the box. What exactly could a cleric soul outside the box with a shield be ?

    nice post as usual no exit. couldn't agree more. the mage reveal got me really excited for the cleric one but also left me a little nervous that they don't end up revamping and spicing a lot of things that really really need it because in my opinion it is a huge overhaul and they have a really big task on their hands

    oh and his name is totally ZINBIK, it will forever be etched in my brain. remember back in the day when we( the cleric community) thought he was dead?? because he hadn't posted anything in like 4 months since like launch. there were many threads started titled "ZINBIK OH ZINBIK WHERE FOR ART THOU ZINBIK" really made me lol back then

    I must Zinby, this is indeed the make or break event for clerics. I would say that im not trying to make your nervous, but i am.

    That monster that was just given to mages, has everything clerics were suppose to have, and need, all rollled up in a nice little sexy package.

    We have a lot of wrong with clerics and the only saving graces we have, is that there is no real competition on what we can do, which isnt even true now, and most definitely not true come SL.


    PS: I am SOOOOOO happy i leveled my mage to 50.
