Default question about tanking first boss in ID

Recently stepped foot into ID and wanted some info on the first phase of the fight.

    1) during Molten Rejuvination does our Strike of Judgment, Sovereignty, Even Justice cause Azul Searbone to heal himself?

    2) is it required to kill the first 2 Stalwarts that appear at the start of the fight or can we just keep them alive all the way through the fight?

you can keep them alive; if they or their friends die replacements will spawn

    1. I'm not 100% certain, but Vengeance of the Winter Storm may cause him to heal.

You are ment to keep those Stalwarts alive. If they die they spawn a big rock add who hurts while having the stalwarts respawn again. There is an achievement for actually killing the stalwarts and killing 3 of the rock dudes.

I am 99.99 percent certain that Vengeance of the Winter Storm will cause heals on Molten Rejuvenation.

Strike of Judgement is considered life damage too, probably best not to MT him. I do one of the stalwarts and most (love cleric threat) of the adds.

Clerics can tank him. You can use other abilities besides SoJ.
Where's the Auction House to buy more DPS for my cleric?

Yea I didnt mean you couldn't tank him, I just love showing off and stealing ALL the adds

Just for reference, SoJ, Even Justice, and Sovereignty are considered LIFE damage and will heal the boss during Molten Rejuvenation.

Precept of Refuge, Crusing Blow, and your auto attack are considered physical and are safe to use on the boss.

What I would do is just save convictions and just DoL while he is doing Molten Rejuvenation or use Crushing Blow.

Also for the answer to your second question, yes they must stay alive or they respawn throughout the fight. Best to have to tanks take one each and ignore them and only burn the flame when it spawns. If your add tanks are taking too much damage have a dps or two knock some adds off, then back on boss. The whole fight takes about 4-5 minutes.
