    Default PvP Healing Build

First forum post, first day playing this game and loving it so far. I was curious if someone could tell me what is the generally considered the best PvP healing build for a cleric. I would like something with survivability, great group support, and possibly the ability to effectively stand my own in a 1v1 situation if need be. I am more concerned with being a team player though so if damaging has no place in the healing builds of RIFT then no worries there. If someone could also link me a build they would suggest that would be fantastic. Thanks in advance!

(For any who play/played wow I was a PvP disc priest for the various forms of healing, mitigation, dispelling, mana burning, and offensive prowess if needed. I'm hoping for something similar to that if possible but I will keep an open mind and not get my hopes up)

Warden is generally considered the best PVP healer, it's HoT's stack with other wardens.

Purifier is not popular except for the 0 point shield skill.

Sentinel is OK...good strong healing, but has casting times and is not particularly tough.

Justicar is pretty solid, but it's a tank build, and you have to attack to generate heals...so you have to have the right playstyle for that to work.

Whatever you go with, I would strongly suggest incorporating at least 12 points in Warden, though.

Yeah browsing the soul trees and abilities I am leaning towards Warden mainly since I love hot healing mechanics when heal tanking. I would prefer to stay ranged instead of engaging close quarters. Right now I am tinkering with Warden mainly, then a splash of sentinel and then I don't know for the third, thinking Inquisitor for the offensive touch but I don't know if that is wise, possibly purifier for more diverse healing and support abilities?

All preference really, this is very close to what I run. I beef up any heals in warden, then tactics, then procs. All extra points go into purifier to supplement the sheild. Healing Breath is the I win button here in Sentinel, however, they are talking about changing it's mechanics soon.

Very nice, thank you for the suggested builds. What do they want to change about it? Seems like a very nice ability.

    Default Warden

I agree with the above posters. Warden is top healing soul in pvp. It's also just a very fun healing soul in general. You end up with so many more healing spells than the other trees as well. Also at early lvl you can spam 4 spells on the run(hot, stack hot, aoe hot, insta heal) plus your personal shield. I personally like sentinel for second soul and at 19 would look something like this.

From what I gathered from one of the Dev's posts, they are going to force players to invest more points into the Sentinel tree before getting it. My only reason for the Sentinel is specifically just the Healing Breath.

They've not released the details yet, however, they have suggested that it will still be a viable 0 point soul, and speccing into it will be even more viable (to have HB that is).

I like the concecpt of the build, but I wouldn't put the points into the first warden tree for Damage. I almost never cast damaging spells, so I think the mana would be more efficient, however, what ever if best for your play style is always best for you
