    Default Looking for handy macro.

Just a question regareding a macro I can't seem to get right myself.

The idea is: I would like to be able to use one button to toggle between myself and a certain friend I pvp a lot with.

I wonder if there is a macro that would target him with the first push and then myself with the second push of the button and with the third push him again, ect.

It would make targeting him a lot easier in clumsy group situations. Or just world pvp...I dont like pressing the F keys very much -.-', especially if he isn't always on the same F key :S

    Thanks for any help!

    /focus (friendsname)

    macro:

    cast acavadabra @focus

    macro 2:

    /focus (yourname)

    macro 3:

    /focus (friends name)

It can be /setfocus as a syntax as well, i havent really used focus in RIFT yet:P

You should be able to accomplish this (sort of) with a modifier key and using focus target . Basically, when you press '1' you target your buddy (whom you have already set as your focus target) , but when you press 'shift-1' you target yourself.

    #show Uber Spell of Awesomeness
/cast [shift] @self Uber Spell of Awesomeness
/cast @focus Uber Spell of Awesomeness

This should work but I cannot check it currently (at work).

Thank for the reply, but (if I copied the macro correctly) it doesn't do what I want.
Might have not been clear enough :P

I don't want any spells included into the macro, just a simple toggle between my friend and myself as the target I want to have selected.

Press Macro button -> target friend
Now I press a skill on my action bar and heal him up. (Not part of the macro)
Press Macro button again -> target self.

    If I use the macro:

    Target friend
    Target self

It just goes straight to Target self and not toggle between me and my friend.

The normal tabbing in this game is a bit megh imo, especcially if more players are involved.

(If I just misunderstood your macro you can call me an idiot XD)

This is most likely going to be your most effective way to achieve this macro. Its basically the macro you want, just with the addition of the [shift] key
