WHAT ARE HEROIC SOULS?
Heroic souls according to Trion developer Adam Gershowitz are classes that can not be acquired by character creation. Their intention is not for these souls to be more powerful but to be more specialized for a particular role.
Faelor's "I don't understand what Heroic Souls are still!"
A heroic soul is a very defined soul. Let's take the Bard. After viewing their entire Soul Tree, it is evident they bring almost only buffs, debuffs, and a few other abilities (such as healing). They don't have abilities to dish out massive damage, to absorb damage, or what have you. Their defined role is a buffer and debuffer, they strengthen their allies and weaken their opponents (with a splash weak heals and crowd-control, VERY minor). If you want something more, you need to spend Soul Points in other souls.
