Default PvP, Solo and Group Souls

Well i just put soem ideas i play with until i can test more in Open beta. I only had two days experience of beta 6 , so please feel free to comment, lol. I was inspired by the Warrior roles video of Trion, but couldnot find other class videos like that. As we have 4 slots to save our soul builds i probably will assign them to the roles as good Solo, good for Dungeon Raid group and one for PvP , leaving a fourth for future taughts.

I stil dont get why we can have tree soul trees as we cannot go deep into tree trees.Other then getting a pet or get some extra 5 point in armor increase or so, i see no point in tree soul trees. Even those you get looks more cosmetic then have an impact.

Going hybrid in two or tree will get you in trouble i think in mid-end games, as will not complematary builds like dps/tank.

I also dont know if element plays a major role as in will fire based spells/attacks be useless against water element targets or just less effective or doesnot matter at all.

so i probaly go specialist in one with maybe a second

    Here my puzzle as for now, also use ZAM build to look into skills;

    Warrior

Solo PvE ; Beastmaster, Paragon and Riftblade
Group PvE TANK role; Paladin, Warlord and Reaver
PvP; Vindicator, Champion and Void Knight

    Mage

Solo PvE; Elementalist, Pyromancer and Stormcaller
Group PvE Support; Chloromancer, Necromancer and Warlock
    PvP; Archmage, Archon and Dominator

    Clerics

Solo PvE; Justicar, Druid and Shaman
Group PvE support; Inquisitor, Warden and Cabalist
    PvP Heal; Templar, Sentinel, Purifier

Rogues (gives me most headaches as its more melee or range for PvE)

Solo PvE; Marksman (best indvidual killer), Saboteur and Ranger
Group PvE Support (Dps is also support for me); Riftstalker, Bladedancer and Bard
    PvP; Infiltrator, Assasin and Nightblade

I also see more dots under the classes professions. If you count all you get tot ten so there maybe even another soul tree besides the PvP one we still havenot seen..

These are my taughts. Any comments? Of course there are lots of combinations to make, but that will be micromanagement and instead of i wanne tank, dps, heal and have pet one man army approach, i think we must more focus on roles.
Another one is fast leveling, probably stick to one good dam dealer tree for that with a second role pet/heal

Chloromancer builds are probably the best classes in the game for Solo PVE. You also didnt mention Necros for solo pve.
Pyromancers are not that great at solo pve.

    thanks for your input
What role do you see for pyromancer?

My template is build on a role with the tree souls combo. If i put necro on solo i need get pyro out. So switch them? hehe, just picked bit theme Deaths bases souls fro group and element sousl for solo.
Chloromancer is nice for solo and leveling but i think its designed for group heal support as aid to healers

I'm not very social in MMOs and WoW turned all of my friends off of MMOs completely so I think I'll be spending a lot of time soloing. Any thoughts on the best class for soloing rifts? I don't care if its a warrior cleric mage or rogue.

If you do it right I'd have to go with Saboteur for soloing whether it's pvp or pve. Sure your squishy and don't have access to heals outside of potions, but in pve you will hardly be touched and in pvp you will be a monster ... that dies quickly but you should take at least one maybe two people out before that.

Doesn't matter what you see, or into it what you read, you can do it your own way, if it's done just how I say.

Well ONE of the shining aspects of this game is the three souls. It gives you a chance for some awesome combinations. Sure some of the higher level root abilities are nice, but I dont think you are going to gimp your character by not having 30+ points in a tree. Most of the roles change dramatically by the combination of souls. For instance inquisitor is a great cleric solo tree, however coupled with a few healing souls its a great compliment for a healing role with the vex healing and the buffs. So to pigeon hole a single soul into a category is severely limiting yourself in Rift.

Here is my take on it from the archtype I have played the most, Cleric. These are a combination of souls, with the soul getting the most points being first in the list:

    Cleric
    Solo: Inq/Cabby/warden , Shaman/druid/Justicar
    Healer (PvE or PvP): Sent/Warden/Puri, Puri/Inq/Sent, Warden/Sent/Puri
Tank: Justicar/Shaman/Puri (Testing this in OB)

I was looking into Shaman/Druid/Justicar builds on zam before. It looks interesting with all the +crit chance and +crit damage and bonus effects after landing crits and healing through dealing damage. I might end up doing that. I need to look into saboteurs more. I don't don't see what would make them "hardly be touched" in pve wouldn't it take time to put all the charges down before you detonate them?

I'm not just looking for a class combo that can solo up to max level or whatever I want something specifically for doing rifts.
