    Default Need Class Build Info

I don't understand it. So, you pick a calling and then 3 souls. Do you distribute points? Is the 1 soul you pick better/more useful than your 3rd? Just give me all the information you know. Thanks!

I honestly view it as your Calling is your armor type. Warriors have plate, clerics Mail, rogues Leather, Mages Cloth. Yes you can switch to lighter versions.. but generally the stats line up with the armor you wear.

Initially you gain just three souls, but later you can collect. Your souls define you character into what most would call a class. Yes you can be a mage healer, or a rogue tank, or cleric dps. Most callings are very flexible.

Points for each soul are gain thru levels, you can spend them as you wish. Keep in mind some souls work better with others. And they do recommend good matches in game while you are picking. You can later on of course respec all you points, and even have 4 different roles ie combinations saved.

Souls themselves are not less powerful when picked in a different order, it's the points you place in each that define how much of that soul you are.

Very nice read Miku. I have played in a few of the betas now so I know what I am doing but I still like to read and I must say that is one of the best guides I have had the pleasure of seeing.

Callings effect the heaviest armor you can wear. Plate for Warriors, Chain for Clerics, leather for Rogues, and cloth for Mages. Each Calling also has nine souls you can choose from. These souls are unique to each calling.

All three souls you choose are equal, you can add as many point to each on a you like, except that you can't add more points to a single soul than your current level. At Level 50, you can add one more point than your level, "completing" the root of the soul and gaining the soul's final ability.

How points are distributed is best figured out by working with this Soul Tree Calculator:
    Soul Tree Calculator

If you put your mouse over one of the abilities shown, then a short description of the ability will pop-up.

Click on the icon to the left of the soul name to switch that soul to another soul for the class.

The "root" abilities are gained after adding so many points into a soul, no matter where you put them.

With two points in the Paladin Soul, you get Retaliation automatically.

The "branch" abilities are where you actually put the points. Click on a "branch" ability, like Paladin's Defender ability, and it will go up one, and so will the total points in that soul.

Each of your Roles can have a different three souls from your selected calling and a different point distribution. The abilities ALSO TRAIN SEPERATELY. If you've bought the higher level abilities for one Role, the other Roles will still be at their starting value! The same ability in two different roles needs to be trained twice!

You can switch reasonably quickly between roles.
