    Default What to pair with a Reaver?

    So, I know it's early but has anyone used the screens of the talent trees to try out a nice DPS/ Secondary tank type of build? I loved my Shadow Knight in EQ1 so definitely Reaver gives some of that flare but I'm not great at handling one class tree much less three? So any early guesses on what would make my Reaver kick butt?

    Too be honnest we dont know all of the warrior trees yet. But if you are looking for more dps, Champions might be an option. I will keep an eye on the beatmaster tho, might be a nice duo with the reaver

    You should mess around with this a bit.

    I know this isnt the main point of the thread, but I have to say;

    Reaver + Justicar looks like a total BA combo in both PvP and PvE

    Well...I guess it's too bad you can't pair Reaver with Justicar then Ahhh would have fun.

    Default Reaver+Champ

    made one build with Reaver as the main class, tho it seems Champion has way too much +percent% damage buffs to not get nerfed at some point. -> http://www.riftrolebuilder.com/build...00101005310500

    Champ does seem to be brutal, maybe that's offset by the fact he deals only physical damage. But I doubt it somehow.

    As for the OP, pair it with the Paladin, just for giggles.

    I have not played with rift role builder at all yet (though I might start finding the time to), and simply base this opinion off of what I have read and gathered from other posts: champion would seem to be (atm) the best idea for a reaver pairing if you are considering dps and the paladin or warlord souls would be best for tanking (I would lean towards warlord for party buffing and leave the healing to the clerics).

    Of course, I suppose it ends up depending on the final product and where abilities / skills / bonuses fall in the trees and roots of the ascendency system.

    In terms of being a great tank, I would definitely go Reaver and Paladin after seeing everything leaked from the conventions

    I meant in a 2v2 Thats why I felt it was a bit unrelated.

    Being tanky is nice, but blowing people up would seem like the best idea - going deep into both Reaver and Champion would probably help that.

    Well, the Reaver is a tank with tank-like abilities, so...

    Default Reaver Champs

    The Reaver is all about DoTs, that said its crucial to give this class "more survival" focus ( he is more effetive with a shield).
    On the other side we have the champion with a reckless nature 2H and damage bursts,i dont know if they make a good combination
