    Default Tank/Raid heals

Is there a class that is clear cut tank heals and a class that is clear cut raid heals? I know some classes are like a heal/dps hybrid spec(with more dps options in the tree)...are there classes that are designed to be greater healers than others?

You can check out the riftsoulbuilder and see for yourself. The Purifier, for example, has some amazing healing utility like the Surging Flames talent. That's one I definitely see as a raider's favorite. The Purifier also has good shields and single-target heals which is great for tank-healing while the Warden is all about HoTs and the Sentinel has a mix of quick- and group-heals.

I don't think we can nominate the best healer yet but you are likely to see most of the Cleric souls in pure and hybrid specs in a raid. They all bring a lot to the table in their own unique ways.

As souper said rolebuilder has the some of the soul trees on thier site. Its a bit early to say who is the superior healer especailly since to some degree they have broken out the different types of healing to different souls. It may be that it comes down to a persons play style as opposed to a clear cut soul.

Somewhere I had read that Warden will be more for the healer that can plan ahead, dropping HOTs, and Bubbles on tanks, and other players before they start to take dmg.

As with many other similar posts, it will really be a matter of playing the souls before we can tell the pace of combat and healing.

I'm having a hard time seeing a lot of synergy to be used with the Purifier builds, though. It seems to me that if you're going into Purifier, it's solely for as you mentioned--the shields and the single target heals. There isn't a lot of additional back-up, unless you're only putting in around 26-28 points to get the crit talent, then moving into Sentinel to mix in with their "on crit" mana regen and what not. But, part of me looks at Warden and Sentinel's deeper roots and abilities, and it seems harder to look at Purifier as viable other than "We need a purifier solely for X." If their talents, if you would, weren't directly geared towards increasing dmg/healing from "Fire" based abilities, much like the Warden with Water abilities, I could see a little more viability and blending through different souls. But there's still a lot being changed, and even more that will be adjusted after launch, so it's so hard to stamp what will be good, what will be viable, and then even how you'll blend the souls yourself.

I don't believe a Warden can bubble anyone. I do agree though, no soul looks like the clear winner yet but my money, at the moment, is on the Purifier being the MT healer and Sentinel for group/OT, and Warden wherever needed.
