    Default Shaman/Justicar 31/20

Build. Opinions? I think it looks solid (pending changes and mechanics)

    1/1 Hearth of Frozen Sea

1/1 Heart of the Fire Mountain
    5/5 Unstoppable Force (100% 2% heal, Filler)
1/1 Heart of the Twilight Forest
    1/1 Shared Purpose
3/3 Will of the Chosen (75% chance to regen some mana)
    1/1 Fated Blowc
2/2 Long Memory (6 seconds to Vengeance)
1/1 Rage of the North (100% crit 9 seconds)

    Justicar
5/5 Hammer of Virtue (10% damage forces 2 hand mace)
    5/5 Devout Convictions (Mana regen)
    1/1 Humbleing Blow

I have a similar build, I went with the longer stun (not sure yet, if I prefer longer vengeance or longer stun).

Even my dark passenger wants to play Rift.

The 44 point Shaman root is beyond ridiculous with Shared Purpose. As written, it's like every mana user starting with 3 additional mana bars for a 5 minute boss fight. If mana pool is any kind of constraint at all, it seems like you gotta bring a 44 point shaman to a raid. Then again, it seems like every class has some ridiculous mana regen ability so I don't know.

Otherwise, it seems pretty spot on. Doctrine of Dedication seems ridiculous. Is there a max number of convictions, like 3-5? Any more than that it seems out of control. Faithful Doctrine seems necessary so you don't have to keep casting the Doctrine, as well as giving your convictions time to refresh for your own Virtous Convictions.

Threat might be an issue swinging a 2H like that, spike damage might kill you. 2 points in Inquisitor for the 20% threat reduction might be a necessary evil.

Also, no word on the cooldown on Rage of the North. It can't be something you just cast every 9 seconds (it would make Power of the Chosen worthless). If the cooldown is prohibitively long, that might be something to cut to make room for some of these extras in other trees.

Definitely a nice build, I also had a similar build. I'm enjoying that idea for soloing and just kicking the crap out of anything that gets in my way. I personally wonder how it will play out in PVP.

I posted my build in the riftcalculator thread

I took 5 points of purifier for the wisdom buff and damage absorb shield. I have 26 points of shaman for all sorts of goodness including +armor and +mace/staff damage, and buffs to endurance and strength based on wisdom. There is also the nice 5 points in the talent that gives 100% chance to heal the shaman 2% on criticals. Then I took 20 points of justicar for the +armor, +damage and all the buffs based on number of convictions stacked. There is also the quick self heal cast from removing convictions.

Since i'm thinking about using this for soloing purposes only, I don't worry about the threat. If I group, i'll probably change the build to something else.

Even my dark passenger wants to play Rift.

Not too bad of a build..
points allocated in a soul tree for ya.. http://www.riftrolebuilder.com/build...03203010500500

I think I'm going to do some playing with this build because I'm leaning more towards Justicar over Shaman.
Something kinda like http://www.riftrolebuilder.com/build...50:purifier.10 but this is set up for solo play atm and definitely subject to change.

1 point in Purifier is for the shield if that's what it requires.

    Not enough survivability I don't think. I'm going 38 shaman/13 purifier.

Build is more for PvP. Adds an AoE and Vengeance of the Bitter Wind which has a 25% chance to interrupt spells for 15 seconds. With purifier you also get a big heal, a small quick heal, a rez, a dispel and Life of the Ages for more health. You also get Healing Blessing which heals you the next 3 times you take damage and Caregiver's Blessing so the next 3 heals you cast can't be interrupted, plus the 5% bonus to wisdom which will increase your strength and dexterity if you have Courage of the Jaguar on.

From what I can tell, there really isn't a reason to invest heavily in the Shaman soul if DPS is your main goal. Shaman appear to be more of a buffing class that is secondarily a melee DPS cleric.

It is going to have great survivability, a combat rez and great melee DPS.

I've taken +melee damage and armor from both the justicar and shaman trees. The purifier adds a pulling nuke and damage absorb shield plus a +wisdom buff. The +wisdom buff makes the shaman's +end and +str buffs even more powerful since they are based of a % of wisdom. And the 20 points in justicar gives quite a few buffs based on the number of convictions up. It also gives a quick heal and a quick group heal based on the number of convictions removed, and a 15% chance to heal for the amount of damage you do. Censure looks interesting as well. Its a melee special that increases life damage by 10 for 15 seconds.

So I really think this build is going to be a monster.

Interesting build, I wouldn't overlook shared purpose though personally.
