Default Ideas on the new souls?

KEEP IN MIND THIS THREAD IS BASED ENTIRELY ON OPININION AND NONE OF THIS IS RELEASED FROM TRION. Keep it down to ideas.

Mage- well we already know mages get some nice looking 2h weaps...maybe a melee DPS soul? would go well with Dom, maybe chloro, because of the soloing benefits.

Warrior- BRING ON THE RANGED TANK! and give us some content to use it.

Rogue- a new support soul would be nice, but a raid heal soul with no buffs. heheh, bards give enough buffs and theres always a bard or archon around somewhere.

clerics-what cant you do already? well, im thinking this one could be a healing soul that lightly complements the others.

Then again, whos to say theyre not all just social souls that give buffs? because, hell, a soul for each class based on nothing but support buffs? id take it!

It's common knowledge, dogs go woof, cows go moo, mmo players go "PVP IS UNBALANCED!"

I guess cleric could be a support class, but it's hard to say, because that is literally the only role we don't actually have (but can queue up as)...

No healing soul for cleric, we alreadyc have 3 :P
I would really like to see a support role for a cleric, becouse cabicar, inqusicar...all of the icars. The healing that you do isnt even wotj mentioning, plus you dont even have any good buffs.
Would love it if my inqusitor have any raid buffs.

Justicar is a partial healing soul.

Icars have arguably the best AoE healing in the game.

I've just tried a cabicar healing today, and they dont do much of a healing. Chloromancer do far more than justicars.

Cabicar heals best through Reparation and Righteous Mandate against large AoE groups. It's not really a healing spec otherwise though it can pop DoLs in a pinch.

Inquisicar and Senticar have much better options for maintaining convictions and Senticar is a full healing spec that can handle just about anything. These specs also have mana regens in Purpose and Aggressive Renewal (if 12 Inq) unlike other cleric healing builds.

For any icar build your biggest assets are Mien of Honor, Righteous Mandate and DoL. Icar is a decidedly more active healing role than Chloro, other than Cabicar due to its pure AoE damage output. But generally Chloros get more out of Veil healing and Icars get more out of DoL.

That said Chloromancers are also very good healers at level 50 and Chloro and Senticar are both great in most healing situations.

Yup, Icars have the best AoE heals in the game, especially coupled with an AE damage class...heck, I do a lot of AoE healing with my inquisicar spec

I've done over 1000 HPS in both Inquisicar and Chloro. HPS is not always an useful metric, you can only heal when there is damage to your party.

Depends on the fight really, but i do know on some HK trash, i do 8-10k dps and 3k hps. Single target though is really bad and i wouldnt recommend it.

Some key specs don't seem to have any real guides but here is what I'm using for Inquisicar:

    http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=00...gx0qz.iuMo.V0x

The important parts are 14 Justicar for Righteous Mandate (necessary if you are the only healer, less useful in raid situations), and 10 sentinel for the crit bonus. Follow the regular Inquisitor rotation you can find in any other guide except you don't have Nysyr's Rebuke, and you want to use Mien of Honor unless the healing isn't important. Then you have DoL and Healing Breath available when needed.

For Senticar here is a rather comprehensive guide:

    http://forums.riftgame.com/rift-gene...-senticar.html

I use the 32/22/12 spec, Inquisitor is more useful than Warden.

Well, unless paired with chloro, I was wrong about the melee healing like cleric has, but looks like the new mage soul is just Ele/War from Guild Wars 1.
