Warriors: nerf corned beef (lol)
Mages: Post your parses (4.5k ST dps, bask in their glory)
Rogues: OMG, parses etc. (same as mage in ST dps)
Clerics: Help needed, Why we got nerfed, Normalize dps souls, Cleric ST dps is not competitive etc etc. Oh and Ahov's livestream!
^ that's why you see less and less clerics.

Guess we're an exception, we've always had 5-8 Clerics on our roster, and bring all types; Tank, DPS, and Heals.
Shrug.

Only class they are doing away with is warrior. Clerics are fine. We have 5 alts including me that cleric can sub. Actually we have 7 mains that are clerics and we are lacking warriors. Actually raid leader prefers less warriors for ID/ROTP and some bosses in HK progression. Sad truth..

My whole shard tends to be scarce when it comes to Clerics, but they are definitely wanted. I'd say Warriors are the ones being phased out. We have 3 Warriors in our main raid group (2 tanks and a Beastmaster to buff the Rogues) and frankly that's how I like it. There was a time when I wanted more Warriors...
Why?
Because Clerics are so good at healer they are forced into it. And If you've ever played any MMO for 5 seconds you'd know most people hate healing.
Trouble with Cleric DPS it doesn't start to shine until you are game end in gear. Where other classes start earlier. So people think Clerics suck.
Senticar's are probably the best healers in the game. Insane raid healing to get people up fast with 4 DoLs. Very good single target healing. And a mana pool that never empties.
Does take a little skill to play one. But when played riht no raid should be without one. Played wrong........... Well any toon played wrong sucks:P
As a game ages it does get harder and harder to be a new player. Older guild need to replace people fast. Which means they don't want new players they have to gear up.
Sadly no one has figured out that, that new player might turn out to be the best player they ever had in their guild if given a chance. But that new player quits after a time never finding a guild. And the game grows smaller.
Not sure what a Dev could do to help this. Not sure why guilds don't give new players a chance. You can never have to many people in your guild. The key is keeping your guild happy by making sure as a guild leader you are running things for all skill levels for your guild.
Don't need the bottom floor of HK on your mains. Take Alts and the new players. This keeps those players happy as they see content. In turn this keeps the new people interested and they just might turn into one of your better core raid members.
Little Raider Boy never figures this out. You never know when that new player might be your best as turning their noses down at guilds they think are beneath them:P
As I've stated before the trouble with Cleric DPS is it only shines in game end gear. There lies the trouble.
If rogues, warriors and mages are good DPS at 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50. Clerics should be too. They shouldn't have to wait until they are pimped out to start actually doing good DPS.
Im all for balance at max gear level but by the time a Cleric gets there they are already forced into their best calling, healing. And again most hate healing. So few want to play a class where they will be doing something they don't like.
One thing to note... no one who fights warriors (and knows what they're doing) gives two ****s about Corned Beef. :P Now... Riftstorm.. that stuff's the new flavor.
On the receiving end of good cleric dps at times, I can honestly say almost nothing hurts like a well played and geared Inquis. Just saying, it's a legit pvp dps build. Warden healing is still pretty damn decent, and gets facepalm worthy the more clerics you stack. Puri is seeming nicer all the time, and Sent is a valid spec too. Granted, you guys could use some tweaks. Perhaps a bump to Druid/Shaman, and/or some more utility in something. My cleric is NOT my main, obviously, but I have had more than a good bit of luck in warfronts as my Inquis/Cab/Sent build. Top KB, low deaths. The fact that you can vex the **** out of multiple people and have passive leeching from it while you're obliterating folks is pretty damn fun.It is a cannon though, and of the glass kind. With low mobility, warriors don't make playing my cleric quite as much fun since this last patch hah... but yeah. Different builds for different times.
Laban Rogue <That Guild>. Bad... good? I'm the guy with the gun.
We just got back to 4/8 this week in one day with 7 Clerics...none of them were tanking. I think clerics are just fine for the moment.
And anyone who gripes about healing in WF's hasn't tried a high-Justi variant of a Senticar yet. Also, anyone butthurt over getting ganked in open world needs to try out the Trollicar, even as a R26 I can hold off R40's all day until the calvary shows up.
TL;DR: If you don't like your current hand, take a mulligan...plenty of viable options out there.

The only game i have ever played that gave clerics a fair shake was aion. They allowed clerics to heal as effectively as a dpsr could dps. This game is horribly askew in terms of healing. With no ready way to actively lower you chance of being stunned or silenced as a passive healers are pretty well screwd.
If im wrong about that i apologize just basing this on what i have seen.
I mean the shaman should be able to toe to toe with a rogue and unless he is horribad walk away unscathed. Im not sayin own em but at least stalemate em.
