Say for your last spot, the player has all 4 class equally geared, will you ask him to take cleric ? Not sure ^^

Thanks for the conversations. It seems a cleric is viable in PvE, which I'd rather not do. I do enough PvE to get what I need for PvP and that's all. I have made friends with the only cleric queuing in my bracket. We are on different servers..He noticed it too that there are very few serious players sticking with a Cleric. It's unfortunate. Having several healers in the group was fun for me because it extended the fights. Two hours could fly by because it was non-stop action. This game is still crazy fun, so i'll play this new toon for a while and look forward to further improvements.

Some players never see the places discussed here. I am one of them. I only play to kill players. PvE grinds are painful. To each his own.

Mage tank is the only issue I can see. I'm sure it can be got around though. Now I want to try.

You need to re-read the OP he clearly states WF's levelling...

I play my ceric in WF's to level, as a heals I find it mostly up near the top of the healing pile, yes there are other healers...
He's pretty good at most things, will wait to see how this pans out at max level but in the middle of the range atm he's fine.

We seem to have a lot of issues recruiting new clerics as well. Just doesn't seem like that many. But then again, at one time it was Rogue's and another time it was Warriors. I think mages are the only ones we've never had issues recruiting.

Lets also think about this, Yes warriors can out dps you, but that's one of 2 things we can only do, Clerics can do EVERYTHING and so you have the mediocore values of everything. Same goes for Mages, they can only DPS or Heal. And so they excel in both. Rogues can do 3 but they have ranged and so they do better than warriors in range. Trust me when i saw all this, I'm a warrior and have no alts, i get pissed in ID becuase i'm extremely useless through most fights, Got a good tank for Ituziel so i'm 5th or 6th in DPS and dead last of the DPS on Conclave (for now) on Marklymos I'm 1st or 2nd with the other warriors and as for Russila I'm in the middle, not that it really counts for that boss.

So be happy that you can do Ranged DPS becuase we warriors can't! (1500-2000 DPS is **** on any fight)

We can do everything!!!? Well you might be right i have never survived long eneogh to find out, and seeing that and healing (now nerfed) is what the cleric is all about, in essence makes multi-skilling pointless along with the class it seems

May have to do something with the fact you're looking for an ID ready Cleric, and that your recruitment post reads more like a shopping list.

There are lots of clerics out there, just like there are lots of everything else. If you don't take the time to socialize you'll may never end up seeing them.

Clerics are the fastest to get favor and get out of the grind. THIS IS FACT SINCE 1.1. The reason why it seems there are not many clerics around is because they do the daily win and log. It is not difficult to find clerics...it is that cleric itemization and loot has been favored for them.

Most clerics in my time gearing up have geared the fastest towards progression. The loot tables have favored clerics since the beginning. I think they did this on purpose so that clerics are always available for end game progression and it just backfired since as soon as clerics get the gear they just stop playing or caring until the next content progression. This is what I see happening in my alt guild and pass guilds. Clerics would gear up the fastest and not show up for raids until they getto a part where they are getting a chance for better gear. They are not endangered at all. They just naturally excel past the rest of the classes because of imbalanced loot tables and how completely OP they were at pvp.

They reduced the number of chain drops considerably in... 1.6 I think it was? The patch where they removed focusless chain gear from raid drops.
