I was doing it all wrong.

Instead of macros stacked with various abilities, I now just spam the hell out of two abilities that give me the max dps on single targets.

Just two abilities and I'm maxing out over other players in dungeons. All the other abilities are junk. Who would have thunk it?

at the risk of being constructive, i like to throw in an instant icicle and ice shear for even more damage from lightning burst, not to mention when i get enough charge pop my static flux

LOL @ the timing of this thread. Yesterday I took one of my twinks out, specced him MM, and wanted to see how badly/good I could do just using 1 button the entire match. Yep.. Fan out, and I still pulled over 40k, which is about 5k more than the usual "green geared" players do when trying their brains out.

Not old enough - should be 1,1,1,1,1,1,1 - where 1 is frostbolt. I was the best mage around in those days. Man I pressed the frostbolt key so much faster than anyone else.

You can still do a 1 button macro for shaman.

Heh. Key is don't waste points skilling into lightning hammer so CD matches length. I built one of these for lols to see if I could run a true 1 button spec when I freshly popped 50 and still get over 1k DPS single target. It is indeed possible

I keep wasting my mana regens when I go to hit finishers that don't exist but Habits die hard.

Waaaay more than 1 skill on the macro however.

Maybe he's using NB/Sin pvp spec with fiery spike and ebon fury in the ST builder macro?
