I am really like the focus and variety of the healer classes in this game as they are currently appear.

Definitely will have a healer as one of my characters when this game comes out.

Shaman mixed with another class is what I'm leaning towards, not sure if the 2nd class would be a pure healer type like Sentinel, or something with more variety like Justicar. WIll be fun!

I go back and forth. I was dead set on the sentinel for the past couple months but I'm slowly leaning towards justicar. I think the J will be a tough class to play well, you need to build up your convictions ahead of time and know when/how to cash them in for the best effect. Dealing with spike damage is going to be tricky - unlike the sentinel which can burst heal afterward the justicar will need to be proactive. However, I think its going to be one of those classes that can be amazing if played well and I have a feeling you'll see less of them than sentinels.

    I dunno:

    Build One: Shaman, Warden, Justicar
    Two: Purifier, Warden, Sentinel
    Three/Four - no idea...

mine will be quite similar as it stands. not sure if I want to make purifier my main healer or purifier.. probably going to have 3 raid healing souls and 1 solo soul. idk though.. I like the shields, crit, and fire healing as purifier but the AoE healing, battle rez from Sentinel is going to be fun to have definitely will have justicar/shaman as one load out cause I like to melee occasionally. Might have Sentinel as my main loadout followed by warden loadout, then purifier loadout, then justicar loadout for soloing. idk.. I like the decisions we are faced with though! Glad we get more than one loadout also!

I am a noob when it comes to mmo's but out of curiosity for the MMO vets out there that can shed some of their insight on this issue.

What combination would you think be very effective when it comes to doing raids, instances, dungeons, and etc?
What combination would you see be quite effective when it comes to pvp?

So far I was considering Sentinel/warden for raids and other pve activities and senitnel and pureifier. Please keep in mind that I am wet behind the ears when it comes to playing mmo's and more so based of how the class system is looking so far. But I just want to see what others might consider be the best combination's as a healer in Telera and what you think groups are going to look for or see as effective based off the information given so far. I read through a lot of the posts that people are saying they are considering a particular build but not much other then that.

Playing any class, particularly a healing one, really depends on how it meshes with your play style. This is why a lot of people simply have vague theory about what we may want to play. Only when we actually get into the game and try said style first hand will we know for sure which style matches our play style. No amount of reading or video watching will guarentee you like a particular class/ability set. Noone can tell you what will work well for you, particularly if you haven't played other MMOGs or are still new. Like everyone else, you'll just have to wait and see until you are in the game and try some things out and find out which work well for you before deciding how to pair that with PvE, Raid, or PvP.

At least 1 combo I want to try involves the Justicar and Shaman. Gotta love the melee clerics. I will also at some point try an Inquisitor, either pure or mostly pure. The third combo Is going to be all about heavy healing, but I'm still debating that one.

Loved my Shaman in WoW and my Warrior Priest in WAR. Sounds like Shaman will be starting point for a solid melee/support character in Rift.

Really looking forward to the unique gameplay options the Justicar brings to the table.

Yeah I know I just wanted to do some theorycrafting on what the possibilities are since they probably have most of the souls up on the websites. Was looking to see what people would see as great combination's and why in pve/pvp settings.

I still want to see exactly what the druid has to offer before I get my heart set on any combinations. It seems like that healing pet could be a nice combo with the justicar as you melee with a bit of shaman thrown in for some buffs.

I came here thinking I'd have the coolest time being a healer in my life - but after seeing the mage souls, I'm torn. It has been said that there will be a healing soul for the mage tree, and the coolest 2 souls in the game are in there; Warlock and Dominator. I always loved pure CC, and IMO CC+Heals is an unbeatable wet dream... I'm going to have to try it for sure.

I've always liked the idea of a melee healer or better said a cleric that can solo with melee combat. So I will probably do a Justicar (26)/Shaman (25) mix to solo (if at all possible earlier in the game). Looks like you can make a number of different pure healer builds with sentinel, purifier, warden mixes or just stick sentinel. Still looking forward to the soul trees of the druid and the other healer they decide to add.
