    Default DPS Warrior

Is it not meant to be in Rift? I cant tell what to use along with Champion - Riftblade - ?.
It seems whats left are majorly Tank specs, and Paragon negates Champion. Any help here?

Some of the highest DPS in war fronts last beta was from Warriors. I know in over 40 war fronts I never came in lower than 5th when I came in at the start.

DPS warriors are very good ATM.

AFAIK riftblade/champion/paragon/beast master are all dps souls. Not quite sure where you were going with this.

I am eager to try out a Paragon/Champion/Riftblade build in the next beta. Both Champion and Riftblade look like they will synergize well with a Paragon heavy build. Can't wait!

yeah what i saw was warriors were doing some of the highest damage and quite often by a lot. I think this may change when rogues get looked at for B5. There arent very many 50% heal debuffs floating around and we get one and warriors are very very difficult to kite. Though if you arent a VW you may struggle against some of these bajillion dps clerics.

I see. Good answers all around really. I kind of thought that might be the direction they were pushing me toward - to forego the 2h of champion for the dual weild 1h of Paragon but still pair them. I was hoping to have a really fun 2h build (I really like the looks of Champion and Riftblade). I dont really want to turn it in to a pet class with Beastmaster either.

I spose Ill just try the Champion - Riftblade - Paragon line up. Thanks.

As a side-note: I was not disputing the DPS Warrior's ability within Rift, as I have no experience and little knowledge to make that distinction yet.

VK also has some very good dmg potential. So really there are 5 warrior souls for DPS.

They generate a bunch of threat though. So not really.

I find that usually the third soul of a lot of builds is hardly built at all. There's no rule that says you have to really use all three souls - you can spec into only two and have the third there just for one or two skills (particularly passives such as def/hp/etc buffs or dmg reduction buffs) if any.

Majority doesn't = all in fact there are many dps choices... and they SEEM to be extremely effective, also it appears rogue tanks are viable (unsure of cleric tanks). This game has done a good job mixing it up for roles that one can do warriors have plenty of options to tank/support and yes they can be full dps.

I haven't looked deep into it as of yet in terms of indepth specifics for each soul, but can you get Warlord to work in a DPS build?

If you use discharge, but empower with a DPS soul does insane dmg. VK/CH/PA comes to mind.

You can, but not very well. Warlord is a tank/support soul. Putting points into warlord will take points away from adding dmg. You could make a ranged DPS/Support build like this...

Path of the Wind gives you a ranged AP builder
Several good ranged DPS finishers (Fiery Burst/PotT)
Several very nice raid wide buffs which you can cycle though.
Nice short term survivability to off tank if you need to.
