    when 8people in your warfront will be able to sick-burst your enemy flag carrier on a 5min cd you will see this could be an issue

    and no %increases such as the racial abilities tend to get even better at max lvl/equip

    and people choosing their faction/race based on racials are usually dedicated to min/maxing

    No you wouldn't. Those things are available to anyone. The whole point of the thread was to prevent people from choosing a particular faction due to the racial abilities.

    Yes I've agreed later on in the thread that the Kelari abilities are an exception to this.

    My point about higher levels is that the % increase becomes only a portion of a number of other modifiers which are of at least equal value, whereas at lower levels it's one of only a few.

    I hear you but ... but ... no?

    Where is my Wisdom of Ages then? I cant have it. Its usefull in raids and PvE. Wait. The game is called Rift anyways and not Warfront Planes of Telara. Are we starting to balance the game around warfronts now?

    I suggested to lower the following chances to 50/40/30/20 already so no I am not a guy who wants to defend an "overpowered" skill.

    On the other hand where does this nerf calling stop? As a defiant I dont like your mana regen and wards. I cant have them. They make a difference too. Lets just delete all racials? Happy?

    Kelari racial is dumb, end of story


    PS playing a kelari too because of the racial ;p does wonders in pvp

    I play a kelari and even I hope the defiant racials get nerfed or that the guardian racials get changed..

    if it stays like this only way to have fun in a pvp server is going guardian to get competition but you would put yourself at a severe disadvantage in both numbers(population) and skills(racials)

    Marksman. 100% crit chance next ability. Reset cooldowns. 100% crit chance next style. Alot of souls have 100% crit chance in their tree. Even the PvP souls have a 100% crit chance.

    Guardians have nice wards defensive wise and a "back to 100% mana" skill. I would prefer some Guardian skills for raids any time.

    The 100% crit chance on the first ability isnt a problem at all. Perhaps they could lower the following chances to 50/40/30/20/10 or something.
    Guardian defensive wards are inferior to Eths. Best defensive AND offensive racial on the same faction. The energy recharge is also overpowered though, but it certainly won't let you gib someone with 2 guaranteed crits assuming you have 20% base crit. I expect the crit racial to at best be 20-30% for 3 hits, or 100% for one hit. I expect the crit damage and healing racial to be cut in half same with the attack power/spell power. Eth racial while good is fine as is dwarf and mathosian. Elf racial needs to be reworked, mana regen as a racial simply will not be fair for healers in raiding environments no matter how much you nerf it.

    I actually wish more players would join the Defiants. Search for a good EU PvP guild and you will see that most EU PvP guilds will play guardian and only most of the US PvP guilds are going to play Defiants.

    But back to topic. I can understand your point but on the other hand I play a mage and there are marksmans, saboteuers, several tanks and even clerics which can instant kill me with or without the Kelari racial. Perhaps they should look into the racials but there are several more severe balance problems out there.

    Most of the guys here are fighting for "nerf my enemy" not for balance. The best result for them would be nerf "them" but not my marksman or Guardian racials. T

    he argument "everybody will play Kelari if you dont nerf it" is a joke too. It seems most of the european PvP players dont care right now and if you play a race or soul only because you think its overpowered ... well perhaps you should play a MMO at all then. I play a faction or race because of the lore and art style and a soul because of the type of gameplay it provides.

    I seem to remember another game where one race had defensive skills, and one had offensive. Oh yeah, in that game, in ORGANIZED, SKILLED pvp, the defensive ones moped the floor. Stupid pug vs pug warfronts, who cares who wins?

    Faction population in A BETA is hardly an indication of anything. I'm sure the guilds going guardian for PvE are doing it because they have confidence that the racials will be sorted out by release and just PREFER guardians to defiant. Defiant is just more appealing for PvPers because of what they are, just like the horde in WoW and those claw feet guys in Aion. They wanna be the bad guys killin' the good guys. If racials were swapped between Guardian and Kelari I doubt we'd see a difference in population on each side in beta for that same reason. If it went live as is then we'd see populations shifting.

    That said, Defiant population is in fact much higher and racials for the most part have nothing to do with it. They're just more appealing to teens, PvPers and people who are tired of playing the righteous faction.

    I still disagree with the conclusion that you guys seem to have drawn in the dwarven 30% heal racial. The shield racials are useful only if you are actively being beat on and focused. if you are able to retreat as a melee calling or are playing a ranged one the dwarven racial can be far superior for getting health back as you get the benefits of it even if you're not being focused.

    Also, the Malthosian racial is superior to the Eth racial if you pop it early. The eth one is better if used below 50%

    So in essence, the Eth shield is potentially better than the other defensive ones in many situations which you find yourself in during PvP. In what way then is the conclusion wrong? You're agreeing that the Eth shield can actually be better . . .

    Again, all I believe is that we need to seek a greater degree of balance sooner rather than later, and a very good way to do this is to give both sides plenty of choice in their racials, so there's no definitive "best" faction from any gameplay standpoint.
