    Default Guns or Bows?

    From all I could tell they do the same damage, all things being equal, so which do you favor and why? I got the feeling that the arrows were more visible and gave away my position, but the gun is pretty loud...

    Gun =instant attack
    Bow = arrow flight time

    All this aside I prefer w/e has the best stats/dps at the time.

    I never like the inclusion of guns in games like this, but I understand it goes with the lore. That said, i definitely prefer bows, but only because to me it is more aesthetically pleasing. I will take whatever has the best stats.

    Bows, guns in fantasy MMOs make me sick...

    To each his own though...

    Red face

    I love the 'sound' of bows in this game. I don't know how they did it but it sounds just right.

    A soft yet strong sound of wood against wood, and the whoosh of an arrow piercing through the air....it's music to my ears.

    Guns > Bows.

    Instant rather than slightly delayed. Even more than that though you can't see where the bullets are coming from while arrows can be fairly easily tracked back to source.

    That was my thinking. The arrows definitely leave a trail, but do guns leave a sort of audible trail? Its hard to figure out on your own but in Warfronts sometimes I had some really good spots and I was definitely getting the feeling that I got found out because my gun was so loud..

    Both have there ups and down in PVP

    Bows = Slightly delayed. But you can see where the arrow is coming from if your facing that way.
    Bullets = No delay, but nearby players can HEAR you.

    So if the target is far away, gun is better, if they are close, Bow as they can't use sound to find you if you arrow them in the back.

    Over all, with my Rogue build, I use a gun, as I need to keep moving. But I prefer the looks of a bow.

    Anyone know if there is a silent gun in this game?

    Default Bows!

    The noise the gun makes is loud and obnoxious. Plus, I just hate guns. I like the aesthetic of the bows far better.

    Oh, from a purely aesthetics sense. I far prefer bows. Especially in a fantasy mmo of this type. For effectiveness in a pvp encounter though i'd likely go with the guns. PvE ....ehhh.. whatever has the better stats.

    Nice. I wasn't sure if everyone could hear those shots or just me, the shooter. That's actually great news because it evens the playing field between the two, decreasing the threat of a nerf. Also, it seems that guns aren't all that popular which is also good. I LOVE the guns (nope.. I'm a liberal but I was born in Texas ) and that means more for me!

    Default Blue drops

    I've seen 2 blue drops from the last dungeon the bow(4 stats) has got one more extra stat than the gun(3 stats)... +7 melee attack. might be a deciding factor if you are mixed class.
