Who knows. There are so many games with their take on the Dark Knight class. Maybe they'll go old school and it will be similar to either the Black Guard or Warrior of Darkness from D&D.

It could be the two handed version of the Reaver. Instead of focusing on plaguing the enemy, it could focus on utter obliteration using its prowess of the void. I honestly hope that there is a Dark Knight type class in this game that uses two handers.

Void Knight sounds awfully similar to Rift Stalker. I say this because it sounds like there are specialty, or advanced souls that may be difficult to achieve for every calling. Rift Stalker sounds like it has something to do with Rifts specifically, while Void Knight may actually be around the same idea.

Either way, the name sure are compelling and attractive.

For some unexplainable reason I am drawn to this Soul, it maybe nothing more than the mystery behind the name. However to me that name leads to myriad of possibilities. The majority of which I am looking forward to finding out.

As for me I can picture a figure clad in pristine ornate armor etched with mystic ruins with a shallow faint glow. I can almost see the use of some sort of Arcane magic to augment their already lethal melee prowess. I can also imagine an almost ghostly or rather ethereal entity able to fade out of existence of the living for short durations which would mitigate effects from the realm of the living.

My guess is as good as any one else's.

Any one else care to take a guess or speculate what the Void Knight will have in store for us?
I would think "BLACK" holes when thinking about this class, I am quite sure they will have a "ARCANE/MAGICAL"" type tank in the mix but this guy just doesn't seem like it to me.

I think, the role of the dark knight tank has been filled also with the "REAVER" thi is the tank that uses or will be using death magics from the description on the forums.

I'll try and get some information on th "Void Knight" when I return from Pax in a few weeks if allowed or shown there at the booth (crosses finger).

    just my $0.04

Might the Void Knight end up being the Defiant only version of the Paladin calling?
When darkness falls it is because we have brought it upon ourselves.

It does sound interesting, as we haven't seen all the souls for all the callings, speculating that these are the "rift-special" souls has merit.

I hope it has enough about it to warrant using it, the same as every soul out there.

Looking forward to some more information as and when it arrives!

No. None of the classes are Defiant or Guardian specific. Both factions can be all classes.

Anti-magic tank maybe? Sounds intriguing anyway.

Does sound interesting, I've had bad experiences with the "void" in the past though. EverQuest II turned fantasy into science fiction with their Void creatures, basically aliens and travelers from other dimensions set on destroying the planet.

With Rift's lore, I would expect the Void to deal with the plane of Death which would make it similar to the Reaver.

This sounds good, and plausible to me.

Could be true about it being the two handed version of a Reaver.

But I do like the idea of a warrior who basically nullifies the planes power, thus a Void Knight. So an anti-elemental warrior?
