Default Multiple players Hots shouldn't stack

I've noticed recently that people have been complaining more frequently about the ability to down clerics in WF's. I think the root is this problem is that Hot's and many defensive spells healers cast on players stack with the same spell cast by other players. What this means is when you have a few clerics around (3-4) everything can get hotted/buffed to the point where it is unkillable. If 3 different clerics all apply their hots and defenses to the same target it isn't going to die no matter what. They can then concentrate the rest of their efforts on keeping anybody else being damaged in the same state.

I think that each time a hot/defensive spell is cast on a player which already has that spell applied, only the strongest value(healer with highest SP) should remain. This will not only stop players becoming completely unkillable when a few decent healers are present, but it will increase the coordination needed by healers when keeping a team alive (Lets face it this game really needs some more depth in PvP to create a higher skill ceiling).

I didn't say their skills needed to be changed, I said the way they stack needs to be looked at

It's a suggestion thread, perhaps if you read it you would understand.

I assume that whenever a player gets healed by a cleric the player should be immune to all healing from other clerics, right? From a HPS standpoint, there's no real difference between the healing classes.

Yeah it's not a trolling forum, it's a class discussion so off you go.

Think the equivalent would be DoTs from multiple players shouldn't stack.

    Either way it's stupid.

Plenty of games work this way for good reason. When players are taking thousands of healing each second they are essentially unkillable. This is the problem which is continually brought up on the forums.

    Title of this thread...

    "Multiple players Hots shouldn't stack"

So tell me what class has HoTs? If you took the time you would see other people have brought this up to in lets Nerf the Clerics threads..

So yeah its a call for nerfs..

They dont become unkillable. They still die between HoT ticks with focus fire.

for one, defensive mechanisms do not stack.
only one class really has hots (i dont count HI) and that is wardens.

So this is once again a warden = all healers thread.

And the day healing does not stack is the day damage doesnt. So unless i can only get hit by a rogue and only take damage from tbhat rogue until i loldie i shall be content with my and whome ever else can heal, healings stacking.
