For mainly expert runs, what do you think the perfect group would look like, with what builds etc.

    Go go!

    1 warrior reaver tank.
    1 rogue marksman dps.
    1 necromancer/warlock dps.
    1 bard supporter.
    1 chloromancer healer.

    if chloromancer can soloheal,

    1 warrior reaver tank.
    1 rogue marksman dps.
    1 necromancer/warlock dps.
    1 warrior champion/beastmaster dps.
    1 chloromancer healer..

I like the gorup i've been running with last few weeks

    1 - Warrior Tank
    2 - Stormcallers
    1 - Chloro
    1 - Shamicar

Just pull...pretty much as much as I can hold threat on and AOE them down. Pretty damn efficient.

I'd probably agree with this, senticar/shamicar + cloro and both can just pretend to be dps and blissfully unaware of the fact they're keeping the group alive. fun for everyone.

3 mages in a group of 5 and people do not think they are OP?

Two of them because they have the highest single target and aoe dps, which makes sense since they are a caster, wear cloth, can be interrupted and use mana.

If you want the run to be as fast as possible, chloromancer is better than cleric for healing since they deal damage at the same time. As for pure dps slots mages are good because they have the highest aoe dps making trash pulls (the majority of an instance) go a lot faster. Both rogue and war dps can be higher for ST. (Using last night's Warmaster parse top dps was a rogue at 1330 followed by a war at 1300 and then a mage at about 1100, highest cleric dps was at 990)

While adding a second stormcaller is the highest DPS, your chance to get loot also drops by 50% so it might not be the most efficient!

So, are we talking about the fastest or the best loot/time efficiency group?

I think the best groups are those where I'm the only Mage. Or Rogue. Or whatever else I'm playing

So true ^^ Luckily I don't really need T2 gear anymore apart from the odd trinket I make sure I'll be the only one (unless someone else are also only there for it) to roll on (f*cking Dichrom drop that damn trinket already!).

Good Rogues are doing 1500-1700 DPS
Good Warriors are doing 1600-1800 DPS
Good Mages are doing 1600-1800 DPS

Your 1100 DPS mage needs to L2P or got unlucky and got debuffed multiple times (although I got 2 debuffs and still parsed over 1100)

It's more about gear than how well you play.

    Yes and no

I parse 1600 on Plutonus with only 4 raid drops
I know of other mages on my server with 7+ Raid drops including relic staff that parse less than 1550

Gear matters but there's also a factor that can't be measured by gear. Before I got my first raid drop I parsed 1410 on Plutonus

The rogue got the debuff 2 or 3 times ;)
And yeah, that mage wasn't the best geared, I would probably have been on par with the rogue or above him if I had been dps instead of archon.

5 clerics, let them do whatever they want because you won't fail. (This is for the lulz, but it actually works very well, best with 2 druids, 1 inq, justicar tank, whatever spec heals)

I really don't want to see anyone list bards in the perfect 5 man build. No amount of buffs can make up for their terrible dps and meager hps that any chloro or offspec cleric could easily do
