Default How many talent points can you obtain?

    Just curious.
I hope its quite a bit. I'd hate to choose 3 soul trees and only be able to fill up one. Or just fill up 2 halfway. Wouldn't really make me feel attached to my spec.

You get 66 total points at lvl 50.

Yep. Or you can do mixed trees. With 22 on each (for example).

Kind of dissapointing. Was hoping you'd at least be able to fill up one. Then get the other 2, 4 tiers up.
Or at least dedicate yourself to 2 trees fully.

You could do with looking at this site and get a feel for what you can do with your points.

From this point of view Rift is similar to the (old) WoW talent tree build: one tree at the end and 1 or 2 trees with some key talents.

You may be tempted to just fill 1/2/3 all the talents, but while there are key ones, there are others that may make your life better (1) levelling or (2) PvPing. For this reason I'm using clueless talents (like being able to stealth and walk faster than untalented) which I will take away once reached level 50, spacing more to the other trees.

Oh wow. That's actually not that bad. Still, you can only get the lvl 51 spell of 1 talent tree. Which is a little dissapointing.
Thank you for the link, didn't know zam had made a rift site.

    That's plenty.

You can choose one tree for full 51 points and have a secondary tree. (51-15)

Or you can get the 44-point spell in one tree and a 21-point talent in another (44-21)

Or you can get the 31-point talent in two trees. (31-31)

Or you can get the 21-point talents in all three trees. (21-21-21)

Lots of ways to spread your points around. If they give you too many points, then you just fill up trees without having to make choices.

And just about every combination he mentioned actually works. Not every build is going to be the best possible DPS, but I have yet to try a build that doesn't work. Experimenting is half the fun for me.

They make it VERY easy to try any combination you can think of, with 4 available slots (soon to be 5 available slots) to spec, which you can switch at any time, as long as you are out of combat.
