    Default Suggestion: Remove Attack Power & Spell Power stat on gear

    However, keep Attack Power and Spell Power as stats themselves of course. Just remove the +AP/SP stat from the gear pieces. This can be done easily by simply increasing AP or SP using their respective major stat, i.e. Strength, Intellect, etc. So if a previous cloth item had 15 int, 15 wisdom, 6 SP and 24 crit, simply make it: 21 int, 21 wisdom and 21 crit (just because you get more int with this new way). Yes, mana pools might become bigger, just start itemizing items appropriately from the next patch or increase how much spells cost overall. Same goes for non-mana users.

    So for example, all DPS plate items should all look like this:

    Plate Chest of Deeps
    Bind on pickup
    Chest Plate

    Armor: 1000
    Strength +20
    Dexterity +15
    Endurance +10
    Physical Crit +20

    Requires Level 50
    Calling: Warrior


    or alternatively all DPS cloth items should look like this:

    Cloth Chest of Epicness
    Bind on pickup
    Chest Cloth

    Armor: 420
    Intellect +24
    Wisdom +18
    Endurance +12
    Spell Crit +24

    Requires Level 50
    Calling: Warrior, Cleric, Rogue, Mage


    This will also fix a lot of issues warriors are currently having with gear. Which is why you see a lot of warriors running around with leather gear, due to the lack of crit and too much attack power on plate gear. I think SP and AP are an outdated stat in MMOs. No need to have them when all the other stats provide them themselves.

    Warriors aren't running with leather because of +crit. Plenty of plate has +crit.

    It's the dex.

    Same reason I use cloth on my cleric.

    Yea if a cleric rolled on cloth gear with the mage in the group who needed it.../kick incoming!

    it is the same princible as a warrior rolling on leather gear. If your guild knows and acknoledge that you play a dps cleric, and it allows dps warriors to roll on leather, then it should also allow clerics to roll on cloth.

    also there are some healing specs that require much more spcrit than sp, and the only way atm for clerics to gain considerable spcrit is cloth.

    If they simply made attack power weight 133% less everyone would give 2 ****s about AP way more. atm you get 1 ap per 3 dex AND 1 crit. so;

    A current peice of leather gear with:

    11 str
    20 dex
    20 crit
    10 AP

    = 27.6 AP + 40 crit

    A fixed peice of plate gear:

    20 str
    11 dex
    20 ap
    10 crit
    = 43.6 AP + 22 crit

    id use it.

    how about attack power just scales with spell power and remove sli from rotation? ohh wait....
