Default @Trion Devs - Warrior vs Rogue Melee Snare Feedback

Warrior (Champion Spec) - Leg Sweep

"Strike an enemy's legs, dealing weapon plus 52 to 55 Physical damage, in addition to reducing their movement speed for 15 seconds. This ability grants 1 Attack Point."

Rogue (Assassin Spec) - Malicious Strike

"Cripples the enemy with a Poison attack, dealing weapon plus 40 to 44 Water damage and reducing movement speed by 70% for 8 seconds."

    Question

    1. Why does the Warrior snare grant 1 Attack Point and the Rogue ability does not? This seems wrong because Warriors already only need 3 Attack Points (which arent even tied to a particular target) in order to pull off a finisher that does the same, if not more, damage than a Rogue finisher which requires 5 Attack Points (must be on the current target)

Both callings should receive an Attack Point from their melee snare or neither of them should.

Warriors snare should reduce speed by 70% as well.

both are melee snares, both souls fundamentally build attack points with a constantly recharging pool of energy, its a viable comparison.

What is the snare % on Leg Sweep? If it was a little lower thats probably why one is 8 seconds and the other is 15

Also, Leg Sweep is lower in the Champion Tree than Malicious Strike is for Assassin but I dont think that matters much

Warrios are also on a 1.5 GCD, while rogues are on 1 GCD.

    1.5 x 3 + 1.5 (for finisher) = 6 seconds
    1 x 5 + 1 (for finisher) = 6 seconds

The fact that warriors finishers do the same damage as rogue finishers is meaningless as this is already normalized.

One is 18 points into the champ tree and the speed reduction is minor.

two is 12 points into the assassin tree and the speed reduction is massive.

Either way it seems these skills do not apply the slowing effect in pvp half the time anyway.
Side note... neither class requires 3 or 5... a rogue can easily use a finisher at 1 or 3 or 2 or 4 as a warrior can use theres at 1 or 2.
Sometimes it is not even that detrimental depending on the "finisher" to fire off a "finisher" early.

Thanks I got that mixed up. I dont think it matters much for that though since people are going to spend atleast 31 points anyways

except you are neglecting it actually takes the rogue 7s, because one of their GCDs is tied to an ability that doesnt build points (however it is also water damage instead of physical, which can be important)

except when the assassin uses puncture which gives 2 points... and to top it off is applying bleeds all the while attacking normally with no added casting.

    The bleed is the finisher

Unless you mean Serrated Blades, which hits for like 25

They are different classes which Inquisitor dots hit harder than Warlocks,Which is why Paragon's Rising Waterfall hits harder than Blade dancer's reprisal or Riftblade flamespear now has a cool down and Nightblade fiery spike has no cool down.

Show me where the devs says class mechanics have to mirror each other exactly with similar moves,If that is case i will glad take stealth on my champ and fell blade on my Riftblades. You don't need a reason from the devs and no justification other "just because" is needed. They are different classes and thing work differently end of story
