Default I fought a Pyro mage...

...and won. clearly I hacked the game somehow as I never crit for over 1k damage at a time and he was standing in his little circle thing. nerf shaman hax immediately so I dont do this again!

I did nothing fancy, saw him there so ran around to hopefully flank him, he saw me coming at about 25 meters and started casting, at twenty meters I charged and hit rage of the north and then the usual shaman rotaion and... he died like some kind of caster class caught by melee.

so um... yeah... dem pyros... seem fine to me and I dont play one.

Looks like you've done some extensive research there

One time I was out in the open world and a wild pyromancer jumped me! He threw down his circle and started casting. Luckily I was near a tree.

Then... I noticed... I could probably get away using trees.

The pyromancer never knew what fled him.

Yes its possible to kill one and I have as shaman, with me the difference between life and death was one stun proc, once that happens you're dead. Pyros are still strong, too strong- I play one, played against them and seen them in action from an observers view point. Just allow them to be pulled/knocked back and its all good, because as it stands purging doesn't always work, it sometimes removes random buffs and in warfront its a hell of a long wait for a 10 sec CD...

    PS: love the sig

Yeah Ive killed them also as a necro. I lead off with the pet, then dispel, dot and nuke or soul purge. It's quite easy despite all of the that goes on around here. Of course if you listen to the babies they try to make pyromancers, sitting in their circle, out to be the deathstar or something but this is hardly the case.

To all the newb's stop and l2p.

I find the that it is difficult to tell what roles the enemy is playing, yes a mage may throw a fireball your way but that person's main point focus maybe in Chloro. So one second your thinking "i'm facing a Pyro" 2 secs later you realises you facing another cllass.

Which is one of my main problems in pvp, when I target an enemy in WF i dont know if the enemy is a Mage, rouge, warrior etc ... all I see i "high elf" or other such races, what happened to the colour coding of classes. It seems arross faction I dont get any intel?

In one post, you've managed to bring out the worst in capitalization, punctuation and spelling.

I got one in The Chanel of Labors, he threw down his circle and I knew what was coming so I hit stealth and asked "Why so douchious?". He taunted me and so I bled him, and he stunned me and nearly killed me with 2 hits, so I used Slip Away and slinked away to drink some ale down in the basement while he casted AoE attacks. When I got back up he hadn't healed yet and had stepped off his circle so I finished him off real quick.

He cursed at me and called me a coward for 30 minutes, I wish I had gotten a vid of that.

i kill pyro often with my warlock 44/22necro. I choke him right at the start so he dont drop his circle, after when choke is up i fear him , i break it on damage etc. so it interrupt them, when he finally drop it down he is around 20% life

So shamans and necros need a nerf too?

    Good to know.

    Keep up the good work.

i kill pyro's all the time. You just have to know how/when/where to engage them.

If they don't have GoS down then I use shutdowns like stun/fear/silence. If they do have GoS down, then use range/LOS to beat them. GoS is basically a root to that mage. Most of them wont budge while I break LOS/range to heal, then move back in to Dot/nuke. If they do move, then back to step one (stun/silence/fear).

Having a spell reflect makes fighting pyro's especially easy and fun.

If you don't have these kinds of abilities then either stay away from pyro's (easy to spot since they are usually standing on one of their grounds). Or respec to a build that is more suited for PVP.

And ya, sometimes a pyro will sneak up on me and two or three shot me, but its rare and usually my own fault for not paying attention.

The fact that there is a thread about fight stories with Pyro's as if they're some kind of unique raid boss is proof enough that its a god-send when you're able to do anything to them.

its because people make a huge fuss for something that aint what they say it is. I do play a mage, i tried pyro and i dont feel overpowered damage wise. I do think the circle need to go away though or get a tweak. People say pyro are gods, i say no, i can kill them
