Default Making warriors and rogues equal value for raids

Please note this is strictly a balance comparison between warrior and rogues. If we had to make a choice on who is better at what in the end, would you agree on these comparisons? If you bring up mage and cleric it meens your stupid. Those two classes are different issues.

Melee DPS: Warriors > Rogues. Not exceedingly but say about 100DPS between above average players. +1 Warrior

Range DPS: Rogues > Warriors. Being more durable, warriors should have the advantage not needing to go range as often as a rogue is required. The gap in DPS should be slightly greater than that of melee. Maybe 200DPS? +2 Rogue

Tank: Warrior > Rogue. Plate should always be better plain and simple. Rogues should make exceptional off tanks for additive battles that are best with melee DPS. In my MMO experience I don't recall having a raid encounter where burning adds was a range only concern. +1 Warrior

Support: There is no comparison, but why is there not a warrior soul focused on debuffing mobs and increasing raid buffs? A class that comes to mind is the Captain class in LoTRO. A warrior support role could be able to grab agro and hold its ground in the event a tank goes down. Not permantly tank but, sufficient until the warrior is resurected or a proper tank can get agro. Maybe a battle res to make them equa value to the healing and buffs of the bard. Warior = Rogue "idealy".

I believe the lack of warrior support soul will be the resulting QQ issue when/if DPS is balanced between the two.

Ran out of time to edit. Please feel free to add ideas. For example what is something that could make having a melee class better than range? I would say Trion needs a boss more suseptable to melee over range damge.

    Doesn't Warlord fit that bill?

Why would Warriors need support? You have Bard and Archon for that. It's like saying Warriors should have a high end healing spec. Warriors tank or do DPS. Warriors also should always tank better than any other class for a tank spec. A rogue tank, for example, should not be as good as a warrior tank. That being said, Rogue melee DPS should be slightly higher than Warrior melee DPS. That, or Rogue should start getting stats and abilities that make them nearly impossible to hit. But they are in leather, warrior is in plate; so higher DPS should go to the squishiest. There can be debate on what they should do for ranged since armor doesn't really count between the two there.

Becuase they game sets up most of the callins to have 3 roles. Warriors have 2.

Actually the warlord soul is mostly a tanking class with some Raid buffs on 5 min cooldowns.
They are nice to have but a party would rather choose either a tank with better surviability or a warrior with good DPS.

Warlord is usually only specced in till sergeants call and some other skills.
It's not a real Support soul but more a 2nd/3rd soul to put some extra points in when tanking. (or as DPS for the passive 5% enemy mischance)
