    Appearance: Standing a tall 5’11”, Aggy carries herself with much grace and dignity. Despite her height, she is nimble and quick. Her sparkling, emerald eyes are full of warmth and sometimes even mischief, but all is done in good jest. She carries her honey golden hair is usually tide up into a pony tail.

    Identifying marks/Quirks/Signature items
    : A small band of light green markings stretch around her neck, but she doesn’t remember how, where and why she got those tattoos. She prefers dark leather garments and usually covers her head with a hood, which she can pull over her face, in order to avoid recognition. Her signature weapons are two daggers, which she can spin and twirl during her deadly blade dance.

    Her strong sense of justice and to do what is right can sometimes interfere with her missions. However, she has no qualms of defending herself if she must. Currently, she is assigned to Brevane. She fights the Strom Legion with a fervor that sometimes borders on obsession and she often wonders why that is.

    When she is not spying for the Faceless Man, she enjoys the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere of Tempest Bay. Here, she can easily lose herself in creating outfits or crafting runes. She likes to work with the various materials and she gets a sense of satisfaction after having created a useful piece of equipment.

    After a particular difficult mission, Aggy withdraws to her private estate located in Dolcega Valley. The tranquil solitude does wonders to her soul and sometimes, she believes she can catch fleeting glimpses of a past that eludes her.

    History/Background:
    Aggy was born on Cassana Estate during a time of peace and tranquility. Back then, the Citizen’s Library was a place of great beauty and learning. People came from all across Brevane to admire the divine architecture of the City Core and to peruse the large collection of books at the library.

    Markets sold exotic goods, shipped across the sea from the Kingdom of Pelladane. Market day was always a busy one. People traveled long distances through the humid jungles, without fear of abominations. The only thing they had to look out for was an occasionally irritated rhino, maybe a bear or a wild cat. However, overall the roads where kept save by stout soldiers.

    Aggy was one of those soldiers, serving her country and keeping the people safe. Her patrol route stretched from her home, Cassana Estate, east to the Vaud Tower and then north, up to Karthan Inn. She enjoyed her route, since it lead through an arid region, into the lush City Core with its amazing buildings and gardens. On hot days, she lingered at the Inn, but did not partake in the good mead that was sold there, but opted instead for water.

    This all changed when Crucia’s gaze fell onto Brevane and she desired its glory, its beauty and its power. She needed a place to call her own, so she could hedge a plan of attack.

    Crucia’s influence spread across Brevane like a raging thunder storm, encompassing everything and everyone. Large stretches of land were completely changed and instead of bears and wild cats, abominations now walked the jungles. Soldiers were turned into Storm Legions without their consent. Well, some of them followed the Storm Queen willingly.

    Aggy was among those who didn’t fight the change. Crucia had succeeded in turning Aggy’s mind, to make her believe that a dire wrong had been committed. Her strong sense of right and wrong was a greater drive than the lust for power others coveted.

    After fighting for Crucia for several months, she came across a small village. Only the children and the elderly remained. Her platoon had the order to destroy everyone, because they had spoken out against Crucia.

    Seeing the innocence in the children’s eyes, Aggy turned and commanded her troops to lay down arms and not spill the blood of those who can’t defend themselves. When they refused, Aggy turned her blades against her comrades. For the first time, she knew that what she did was right. That Crucia had lied to her.

    And so, with her last breath, Aggy begged for redemption. For a chance to make it all right, to stop the Blood Storms, to stop Crucia and her ilk.

    When she awoke, she found herself in a chamber with strange machines.

    “Where, where am I?” she uttered confused, while trying to remember her lineage, her fighting prowess, but it was as if her past did not exist. All she could remember was her first name.

    “You are in Mathosia, Ascended. You were part of the soulstream and I was able to pull you through to this side. Now, no more time for questions, we must get you to the time machine,” the man called out and pointed at the exit.

    A war raged on the other side of the threshold. Abominations fought against soldiers and machines. Aggy walked on unsteady legs towards the carnage. Before she stepped outside though, she turned back to the man who had brought her back from the dead.

    “What will happen once I step through the time machine?” she asked with an unsure voice.

    “You will return to the past in order to right a wrong,” was all the man said, before shooing her out of the door once more.

    Grey and subdued skies covered the path to the time machine, which lead through destroyed villages and Mathosian war camps. Most towns had been taken over by abominations; their citizens had fled or were killed. The Endless Court under the rule of Alsbeth the Discordant and Regulos the Destroyer had taken over. They were planning of unleashing the dragons into the world and nothing will be as it once was.

    All this, Aggy learned from a woman named Asha Catari, an Arcane Warrior of the Dragonslayer Covenant.

    When Aggy finally reached the time machine and stepped through it, she remembered the words of the dying Asha Catari.

    “You are sent back to warn our people of a failed future. Tell them that if nothing is done, the world will fall and the dragons will devour it. If you fail, then everything we have fought for will be in vain.”

    Appearance: most commonly seen as a tall slender elf with blonde hair many say it is just a disguise. Very few see this mysterious assassin and others say she is a shapeshifter.

    Story: Very little is known about this mysterious figure. Some say she is the daughter of Shyla and Hylas, others say she is a messenger of the vigil in disguise

    Many called her a legend. After destroying the first rift and heading to silverwood, she became well known. She believed that the rifts were the enemy, not the defiants and many others that wanted peace between the guardians and defiants worshipped her. She battled her way through the world, destroying the rifts. Then the fateful day came......

    She slew hylas and his followers and was going to fight Greenscale, when..... they attacked.....
    She was alone and raids of defiants attacked! The most vocal supporter of peace was being attacked!!

    She took out her daggers and went to work. She was sneaky, and quick and was able to kill many defiants that attacked her until...Catari came....

    Asha Catari attacked Rgi and beat her. Rgi fled for her life, beaten. She went back to Sanctum. Furious with what happened, she took off her garments of the diplomat and shrouded herself in the black outfits of stealth and killing.

    She spread the story and called for war. Then she started her occupation as defiant killer. She murdered thousands of defiants. She killed them in stonefield and declared herself overlord and now marches on Meridian.



    Many defiants and guardian's want peace now but she refuses. She remembers what happened when she trusted the defiants and will not make that mistake again.....

    Default Saph Rhan the Rift Walker

    "I'll tell you the exciting story of how I arrived here ... but first, can you tell me where I am?"

    Many enterprising merchants make their homes on the open roads of Mathosia, but the Skyclan Caravan is unique in consisting entirely of dwarven artisans and traders. Populated primarily by refugees from Hammerknell and Lord's Hall, the Skyclan is as much a community as it is a commercial endeavor. Society is extremely important to many dwarves (they invented cities, after all!) and with two major settlements lost, the caravan provides a roaming home for a small group of Bahralt's children.

    Of course, Mathosian roads aren't exactly safe these days. Every caravan needs a little protection, a role embraced with relish by a plucky plane-shifting Ascended named Saph Rhan.

    A rugged and athletic woman, Saph was born in Lord's Hall, a delve renowned for both its masterfully crafted weapons and the rough-and-tumble dwarven warriors who utilized them. While she never joined the military proper, Saph was bitten by the adventuring bug at a young age; living as she was in the weaponsmithing capital of Mathosia, melee combat training was readily available. As a result of her experience and aptitude, it was requested that she join Stanig Malm's troops from Hammerknell to battle Aedraxis, whereupon she met the same fate and rebirth as most Guardian Ascended.

    Returned to Telara and shunted forward a few decades into the future, Saph found her old home sealed away and Hammerknell lost entirely. She continued to carry out the will of the Guardians and the Vigil, but was despondent over her severance from dwarven society until she crossed paths with the peripatetic posse who offered her a home in their wagon train. She has traveled with the Skyclan ever since, serving primarily in the role of protector, though owing to her unique abilities, she also gathers materials and treasures from rifts to aid in crafting and sales.

    Post-Ascension, Saph was cognizant of her increased sensitivity to planar energies and began to study the arts of Anan Mkhai. As the techniques came naturally to her, she spurned all other options to fully embrace the ways of the Riftstalker. Shifting in and out of the planes, she is able to reliably teleport to any location within fifty meters. As shown in the image above, this helps negate any strategic advantage her opponent might have due to disparity in height. She is also capable of teleporting great distances, though much less reliably; more often than not, she'll end up somewhere quite different from her intended destination.

    As sustained plane shifting causes great physical strain, Saph strives to keep herself as hale and hearty as possible to shoulder the burden. Owing to the innate dwarven resistance to water magic, she has a somewhat easier time with water rifts. In fact, she claims to have pilfered her favorite weapons from the Plane of Water itself; rather than metal, the blades are hewn from unmelting planar ice.

    Many merchant caravans adopt an exotic aesthetic to boost their sales. The Skyclan is no exception, and Saph does her part to contribute. She wears ornate armor and heavy eyeliner, riding on the back of an ostentatious Sapphire Ki Rin rather than a low-maintenance horse. Both in and out of combat, she is prone to theatrical gestures and narrating her deeds with a touch of dramatic flair. Boisterous and bold, she thrives in situations where bravado is called for, but is terrible at tasks requiring subtlety or a gentle hand.

    Saph is strongly protective of her kin, but her competitive spirit and defensive nature can be a volatile mixture for outsiders, not to mention a source of unnecessary trouble. She has few reservations about slipping into "snake oil salesdwarf" mode to hawk the caravan's wares to a Defiant, and even fewer about slipping her arm around a pretty dwarven woman. She is often seen in the company of a caravan compatriot called Daydream.

    Of course, like any dwarf worth her rock salt, Saph has a love for libations as well. Her favorite drink is cherry melomel, though in its absence she'll favor just about any form of mead.

    Pop quiz -- what do the Iron Claw Trappers, the Drowned Halls and West Ember Isle have in common?

    If you answered "nothing at all", we don't blame you, but Maryana Rakova begs to differ.

    Her appearance certainly reflects the idea of mismatched concepts. A fair-skinned, green-eyed and redheaded dwarven woman on the cusp of middle age, Maryana is sufficiently soft and pudgy to appear younger than her years, telltale signs of a pampered and protected upbringing. She wears a strapless corset dress that has been dyed to match her barnacle-encrusted pauldrons and spiked crab carapace gauntlets, insofar as such disparate garments can really harmonize at all. A red silk parasol hangs at one hip, while a clawed Abyssal totem rests at the other. A small pair of pince-nez spectacles rest on the bridge of her nose, and she is often seen cooling herself with a brisť fan fashioned from dried seaweed.

    Maryana was born and raised in Lord's Hall, once lauded as the weaponsmithing capital of Telara. For generations, the Rakovas had done their part to uphold the reputation of the delve, specializing in the creation of magically imbued weapons in an attempt to compete with the arcane handiwork of Hammerknell. While they could not rival the power of runebinding, they still found success in their niche, and the family fortune allowed Maryana to live a charmed life.

    While soft and prone to bouts of hedonistic excess, Maryana was not entirely indolent. In fact, she was highly driven by a desire to learn more about the territories beyond the delve and the wonders that might lie hidden in faraway places. For a time, she felt conflicted between her loyalty to the family business and her wish to travel across Telara, but in time a compromise was reached. She would become the field tester for the family's newest creations, embarking on hunting trips and "beta testing" the weapons against various beasts of the wild.

    While the phrase "dwarven huntress" tends to evoke images of physically imposing Farclan women bedecked in body paint and furs, Maryana more personified the stereotype of the gentlewoman adventurer. Traveling with several dwarven assistants, she carried out her hunting endeavors from a thoroughly well-stocked camp. While the overabundance of creature comforts was eyeroll-worthy, it did not diminish her bravery. She had a legitimate passion for discovering the world's secrets and enough confidence in her family's talents to put her life on the line against some truly fearsome beasts. Though she had no innate magical power of her own, she grew adept at utilizing arcane weaponry.

    The Vigil seemed to take notice of these facts. When the Battle of Lord's Hall transpired, Maryana joined the defending forces, her confidence bolstered by her successes as a huntress. Though the delve was successfully defended, the daughter of the Rakovas was counted among the fallen. Her family did not grieve for long, however, as the gods deigned to choose Maryana for Ascension.

    This was somewhat unusual, as Maryana was not among the number who marched with Borrin Gammult against Aedraxis. As a result, unlike many of her Ascended brethren, she was not shunted forward twenty years. When the doors of Lord's Hall were closed, she counted herself among the dwarves who joined the Iron Claw Trappers, putting her hunting experience and Ascended powers to good use in defense of her homeland. In service to the Vigil (as well as her wanderlust), she frequently traveled elsewhere, joining a group of dwarven traders called the Skyclan Caravan in an arrangement of mutual support. Despite her meanderings, however, she remained a member of the Iron Claw and spent more time defending Scarwood Reach than any other territory.

    Eventually it came to pass that a peculiar portal was discovered in Scarwood, connecting to a sliver dimension known as the Drowned Halls. In this world, the mad dragon Akylios and his Abyssal cult had succeeded in conquering all of Telara. Holding court in Lord's Hall, Sorceress-Lieutenant Hydriss was amassing an army to send through the portal. Learning of this, the Guardian leadership dispatched teams of Ascended to confront Hydriss and stop the invasion. Simultaneously horrified and intrigued by the notion of the cult of secrets occupying her home, Maryana signed on with one of the strike teams.

    Though the mission was a success, Maryana found herself afflicted with strange dreams upon her return -- twisted visions of Telara overrun by muculent horrors from the sea, much like she'd witnessed within the Drowned Halls. Her fellow Iron Claw hunters chalked it up to traumatic experience, offering reassurance that her troubled thoughts would fade in time. The visions persisted, however, and began to have a profound effect on her character and behavior. Her yearning for knowledge and secrets grew stronger, and she studied the Abyssal with increasing fervency. Her behavior grew more eccentric, and she began to incorporate strange aquatic elements into her style of dress.

    The Guardian leaders feared Maryana might be falling under the sway of Abyssal corruption, and she would have been pulled from field duty if not for one mitigating factor. Since the onset of the dreams, she had begun to predict forthcoming invasions from the Plane of Water with a remarkably high strike rate, and when the invasions occurred, she fought against them with such dedication that few could doubt her loyalty.

    Though the Abyssal use of dream magic was well known, Maryana was ill-equipped to fight back against her nightly delusions. Despite her research, she could not pinpoint the cause, and eventually she came to accept the aqueous reveries as an unavoidable part of her existence. Only with the events of West Ember Isle some two years later would new information come to light. With the birth and subsequent escape of Demogos, the Guardians learned of the crossover between the dream world and the waking world, and through an old technique pioneered by the Farclan, the Ascended were provided the means to achieve a state of lucid dreaming, so that beings of Nightmare can be confronted in a conscious state.

    Voraciously interested in these new discoveries, Maryana is currently in the early stages of studying and practicing dream-walking, so that she might explore and better comprehend her ichthyic imaginings. She remains affiliated with both the Iron Claw Trappers and the Skyclan, continuing to aid the former in defending her homeland, and offering the latter her skills as a weaponcrafter (and the selling point of her family name, for the few dwarves who still remember.) While she has long since adjusted to a less pampered life, she still strives to cultivate an affluent image, though her peculiar pelagic clothing and eccentric habits come across more as a weird parody of wealth than a convincing facade.

    ((Some of what is posted below may be subject to minor changes due to my nit-picking. I'll eventually add some sort of short and non-spoiler background. Probably. Not.))

    Occupation: Licker of wounds and kicker of... spoons?
    Birthplace: A dark and stony place.
    Appearance: Young and fit (swinging a heavy mace and shield around requires muscles). Unkempt blue hair with a 5-inch braid on either side of her head, forward of the ears. Gold eyes.
    Personality: Cheery and random. Expect many a strange sentence out of her mouth like the above response to a question about her occupation. Despite this goofiness she can be serious when the situation calls for it.
    Quirks: When standing idle she tugs on her braids. She also ends most sentences with question marks even if she isn't asking a question.

    Weapons: Her beauty is a weapon used to lure men to her cave. Also, she has pointed teeth that line through her jaw. Her nails eject during transformation. While in transformation, her 'fangs' tear through her cheek flesh, allowing black ghost-like hands to grow out. She uses these 'hands' to move about, also, if flesh touches the foggy structures, it will evaporate the tissue into a black mist. Overall, she mostly carries around butterfly swords with a gold streaks down the blades.

    Hobbies: Playing 'Tear the Bone'. Directions: Two+ humans needed varrying to the number of players. The first player to reach to the bone only using their teeth win. The loser has to tear through their arm flesh until they get to the bone using nothing but their nails (or a stick if needed).

    Before Ascension:
    Brusenna has always been the outside cast female. She never really enjoyed being around others, eating right, or having fun. Actually, the only time anyone has ever seen her happy is around her mother. Her mother was the only thing she wanted to be around, but it all changed when their father left them for another girl he met at a local bar. Her mother became violently abusive, and she would never talk to Brusenna. After what seemed forever, her mother finally began to talk to Brusenna, but she only had a plan brewing in her mind. Little did she know, her mother was a dangerous witch that has been charged for countless murders/crimes. Her mother cursed her daughter one day, to pass her hatred towards everything - even Brusenna herself. She thought it was Brusenna's fault that her father left, but after she cursed the only 11 year-old girl, her power was too overwhelming, and Brusenna transformed with no hesitation, and killed her mother by evaporating her skin with the ghost-like arms that stretched from her cheeks. Now, she lingers in a cave where she -attempts- to stay hidden from the outside world.

    Appearance: Aegina is short for a Kelari, about nearly the same height as the average Eth. She has a light violet skin tone, yellowish cat-like eyes and purely black hair. She always keeps her hair short so not to cause any unnecessary distractions especially in battle.

    Personality: One would consider her alignment as Lawful Neutral. She is responsible, methodical, truthful, loyal, and respectful. Having a keen sense for detail, an excellent mastery in strategies and tactics, you can rely on her to bring victory in any battle. She would do everything in her power to make sure the Defiants as a whole survive and find peace and order, no matter the consequences to her own actions... or inactions. While not extremely apathetic, Aegina would willingly sacrifice someone (even herself, if there is no better options) if it means saving the lives of everyone else. She would mourn the death of said person, but will justify her cause for the good of all. She believes not in good nor evil, but in law and harmony. She would willingly work with the Guardians, if it also benefits the interests of the Defiants.

    While she has no problems commanding and issuing orders to her subordinates, outside of her line of work, Aegina is an extremely silent and shy individual, always opting to stay out of personal conversations and social gatherings.     She enjoys reading books and is unbiased as to their genre. Fiction, technical, history, music? She would hungrily extract the knowledge from their pages like a rabid dog devouring a particularly juicy steak.

    History/Background: A Machine-born Ascended with no memories of her previous life. Aegina merely woke up one day, trying to remember her past and all she could retrieve out of it was her name. Through Sylver and Asha, she learned of the inevitable doom of Telara and agreed to be sent back in time to avert it. Now back in the past, she is aiding the Defiants in their fight against the planar invaders, making sure the future she has seen will never come to pass.

    Combat Prowess: Aegina usually commands in the back, aiding and supporting her allies with her mastery of life magic, healing and even restoring life back to those who have fallen in combat (Sentinel). This does not make her a weak fighter in any regard.     Personality: Lawful Neutral, though not really inclined to the laws of society. So as long as to protect his family is enough but as a proud Bahmi, no matter where he goes he brings his culture with great pride. A joyous fellow, quiet in times of leisure and boastful in times of combat. Though welcoming to all, because of the foolishness of the Guardians in his old time can be bitter towards them.

    Identifying Marks/Quirks/Signature Items: Wears reinforced heavy iron armor of greay and gold. You will know this Bahmi for he is a devotee of the old Shalastari. Clinging to the aura of the plane of air. His very weapon sizzles as his aura envelops it with lightning.

    Before Ascension

    Foolish of the Guardians, instead of focusing in our fight against the dragons. Instead they fought a full campaign against us. Now our inventions, home, forces destroyed we were pushed back. The Dragons took this chance and broke the ward, the Guardians alone were not enough. All of Telara was engulfed by darkness and spread towards the 4 corners of the world. In our twilight hour, our remaining forces gathered once more on the last sliver of hope towards the 'Project Failsafe'. There we were stood on the battlefield our armors glistening with the very plane, our weapons so powerful they may shake the very land. In the end it was not enough like a wave of darkness we were swept. Our bodies mangled our souls ready to be devoured. Hope was nearly lost but few of the souls in battle were recaptured and thus we Machine-born Ascneded were given a second chance.

    After Ascension

    Months laster, during the campaign against Aelfwar in Scarwoodreach. Me and a band of defiants were out numbered and out strength within the eye of a Major Life rift. With air, lightning and ice we fought the creatures one by one. Only to be slaughtered by a gigantic troll that was summoned by one of those accursed Aelfwar. Near death's door all I could do is curse the beast and closed my eyes. Then suddenly silence, I opened my eyes only to see a band of uncorrupted fae charging out of of the plane and fought against the Aelfwar.

    After the battle I was healed by one of the faes. Overwhelmed by their actions I have vowed them service. For they are a warband of Faes against Greenscale seeking to reconquer their land and a newm home they would consider Sanctuary.

    They introduced themselves, Lefala the Greathealer, Anala the Sentinel of the forest, Olden the Bracken Defender and Shmor, a great satyr warrior.

    In time the warband grew stronger and so did I, as their leader.

    Past: Due to being born in the Ghettos of the roughest parts of Atia, Shao is street oriented. Not knowing her parents because she was abandoned as an infant and working and being raised under Atia's most brutal Underworld Boss, she has stolen, harmed and even killed for meager silver coins. She was very dangerous and crafty, worming her way into her enemy's good graces just so she can double-cross them, all for the Boss she had thought of as a father. Shao-long eventually found out by the age of 14 that the boss she was raised by and worked for was only using her to get ahead and cared nothing for her. Realising that her crimes were done and there was no turning back from the path she was on, she killed him. As she grew older, she continued her career as a thug, up to a certain point, she still cannot remember how she had died, or why her damned soul was even plucked from the Soul Stream by the Defiants in the 1st place, All she knows is... she's been given a 2nd chance, and this time she'll get it right.

    Appearance: Shaolonfeng has Dark Cyan/Blue hair and people can tell from the features of her eyes and skin that she is a Kelari from the Isles. She has a scar on her stomach that she had gotten from her former friend and partner in her attempt to kill her employer and mob-boss before she killed him. Like most Kelaris she is tall which she is somewhat self conscious about. She is usually seen wearing pants or leggings as she does not like to wear dresses or skirts due to her tomboyish personality.

    Personality: Though she was a violent and merciless fighter in the past, her personality is far from that of brutal or ignorant. Shaolonfeng enjoys the company of others just as much as she loves earning some coin. She is also friendly and docile and is steadfast to help a friend in need or comfort them. She admires those who show compassion and patience to the weaker fighters. She is also humorous and enjoys a good joke and strongly believes that having a positive attitude will help achieve goals. Shao also openly idolises technology. She has a very keen spiritual link and often uses it to her advantage in adventuring or just casual chit-chat with spirits and ghosts. Unlike her colleagues and comrades in Meridian, she looks past the race and political faction of an individual and instead looks at the skill and courage they have when it comes to defending Telara. After all, just like the Defiants do not have the time or patience to follow the will and law of the Gods, Guardians and Defiants should not be fighting against each other when they should be fighting together. She doesn't have a favorite dish of Telaran cuisine, but she particularly hates Jellied Ray.

    Skills: Being a Warrior, Shaolonfeng is much stronger than her skinny appearance suggests, she can lift heavy objects as well as hold her own in hand to hand combat against bigger and stronger planar beings. Shaolonfeng is proficient in her Planar Elemental abilities, especially the air element. She finds herself having trouble with the earth element since it is opposite from air. Shaolonfeng is skilled in swordsmanship, but prefers to distance herself from her enemy much like a caster. She can also tank, but prefers backing up her allies by dishing out Tempest Damage to the enemy while they go at the tank.

    Tylia was born and raised together with her brother Tyro in Kheramos, and learnt a great deal from the spirit whisperers as a child in Atia. When she reached the age of 12, her Brother, by now 14, joined with the kelari expedition to serve and protect the island they had grown up on.

    However, later that year, the Watch Commander of the Icewatch had come south from Iron Pine Peak searching for fresh faces to help guard one of Telara's oldest threats - Crucia herself, locked in an icy prison. Tylia, although only 12, felt an immediate calling to this, and begged her parents to let her leave the temperate jungle island she had called home all her life so far, and join the watch commander in the north. Her parents finally relented after the Watch Commander promised them he would look after Tylia as his own daughter, and teach her everything she would need to know.

    Tylia then spent the next few years training in the ice and snow, and slowly but surely became a sentinel in the Icewatch. She swore an Oath that was eternal and nothing would ever break it. At the age of 16, she was a full time Icewatch sentinel and served as a vital part of the organisation.

    Then, the rifts came. Things werent the same after that, and one day, out on patrol, they wandered too close to what turned out to be an area suddenly being controlled by one of the Abyssal Cults. She and her colleague were attacked, and she found herself fatally wounded.

    The next thing she remembered was the voice of someone she already knew well, a member of her own race, a memory of home, the Naithema Sylver Valis. Anthousa had spoken when she was a child of his...his...machines! Was she in one of these machines, being revived in some fashion?

    She stepped out into a room she had seen briefly before, only then it had seemed so much nicer, not the near smoking ruin it was now.

    Sylver spoke.

    "Tylia!? Is that you? Oh, I am so happy its you I retrieved from the soulstream. Your brother will be so relieved to hear that we managed to save you!"

    "My brother? What about my parents?"

    "Tylia, it has been fully 2 years since the watch commander reported your loss.In these two years, things have gotten worse. A lot worse. First, the fall of Port scion, so many souls lost. Then, Ember Isle itself was invaded by the planes. Kheramos was attacked, people fled, but your parents....I am so sorry. They say the great dragon of fire, Maelforge, has set himself up in the base of Mount Carcera. We cannot hold things together any longer, we need to send you back. Back to just after your original passing. You and the other ascended can help save Telara. You must warn the others of what could happen!"

    "You are stronger now, and you are our last best hope to save Telara from the planes. You must stop Alsbeth and Regulos!"

    "Go!!"

    Tylia, tears streaming, anger surging in a way she had never felt before, ran down through the place she was now just learning was called "Terminus". Everywhere was wrecked. She got to a lady called Asha Catari, who promptly bade her run on, she stopped quickly to ask questions of someone called "The faceless man". The mask seemed vaguely familiar, slightly threatening, but her anger was still surging. She did as he asked and ran up the hill, whilst one of Sylvers machines cleared strange enemies out of the way. At the top of the hill, trying to activate the machine, she learned who Alsbeth was. The *****! She would make her pay!

    Alsbeth, Regulos, and the other dragons, especially Maelforge, would rue the day they destroyed her family.

    Tylia reconnected with the Icewatch, and re-assured her watch commander that things had changed. Now, it was under the protection of the Ascended. She is still 100% Oathbound,
    but explores farther afield to help the Defiants fight the dragons, and as she has learnt, the other things from the planes. She has taken fondly to the continent of Brevane, as it reminds her so much of home.

    She can be found wandering all over Telara, from Freemarch to the Steppes of Infinity, but if in Iron Pine, she will wear her Watch Uniform so people recognise her for what she is.

    She is a Stalwart character, very firm and independent. She will accept help when she knows it is needed, but prefers to work alone.
