    Default Timeline Inconsistency?

I've been doing some research for the short story comp and found some slight inconsistencies in the timeline that I'm hoping we can nut out by consensus.

    So here's the issue :

Zareph and Aedraxis fight, causing the shade.
    This shatters the Mathosian empire
Zareph and his followers found Port Scion
Port Scion gets its walls built by the Bahmi
Zareph is lost when Port Scion is
Asha is involved in Port Scion being lost
Asha is killed in the shade

So.. overlooking the fact Port Scion probably should have taken decades to build, how can Asha be killed in the Shade AND contribute to the downfall of Port Scion.

    Two possible answers.

    a) Time Travel.
Personally not a fan of this, as Time Travel is really hard to keep consistent (even though they already have some time travel storylines)

    b) The Shade is not a singular event but rather an ongoing problem that take years to end.
I'm much more of a fan of this one. It allows more scope and means that the collapse of the Mathosians and the founding of Port Scion have some time to wiggle about in.

What say you fellow lore nuts?

"On these merits, she was sent ten years later as the Covenant's representative, to warn Zareph Mathos of the link between his brother and the Endless Court. Instead of returning to the Covenant straight away, she remained to fight with Mathos’s forces. When the Shade was unleashed, Asha was among those destroyed by its dark power.

Beyond the Ward, Regulos drew her spirit from the Soulstream and brought her before him. The Destroyer infused her with great power, a temptation to convince Asha to become his general on Telara. She refused. Enraged by Asha’s denial, Regulos attempted to destroy her, igniting the very energy with which he had embroidered her soul. But before Regulos could finish, Asha’s agonized spirit was pulled away as the dread god howled in frustration."

    See: she died.
