Default Question for a German speaker re event Terror from the Depths

Why is the event in English "Terror from the Depths", called "Terror aus den Tiefen" in Draumheim and "Terror aus der Tiefe" in Goboro-Riff?
I speak no German. Do they not mean almost the same thing? There's no other event that has two different names, so if they are the same event in two different zones, why did Rift choose to translate this one two different ways?

I'd say two different translators. And I would go with the first one, in this case.

They do mean almost the same, yes. But the first has a mythical implication. It clearly indicates the deep seas and tales revolving them. "der Tiefe" could be just any deep point. "den Tiefen" is directed at that idea of deep sea monsters and adventures.

    P.S.
I found this looking for the french name of it; anyone?

I am german, and your explanation is perfect. Never thought about it, but it is.

    Thanks.

It's "Terreur des profondeurs" in French.
