It is a bit like Simon says game, it tells you what colour it requires next, just do the colours it shows you

Edit to add that you may be given a few colours in a row to follow.

If you can't figure this quest out, you should probably stick to crafting.

I really dont understand this puzzle, perhaps its the resetting of itself or something but I cant get it to work. What is the sequence and how is it supposed to work? Thanks

Hello, a cheerful voice said in his mind. Would you like to destroy some evil today?

So they can care about their overseas (and therefore laggier) customers, and at the same time fill the game with sutff that doesn't work due to lag? Either you don't know what non sequitur means or you're the one making no sense here.

    Default The likely answer.

As previously mentioned, this works a lot like "Simeon Says". Touching the stones causes them to light up in the order of the next pattern you have to enter.

The code it game me was:
Purple, Red, Purple, Red, Green, Yellow, Purple.

This one took me a minute to figure out because I was trying to walk around the code "machine" while entering the code. Moving after entering a sequence causes the "machine" to reset the combination. Just stand in once place between two stones and move your camera view to a little bit above the "machine" so you can see and click all 4 colors easily and it should work right away.

    Default Worked

Thanks Finrod. I was moving and that's why I couldn't figure it out despite the tip to play "Simon says".

This problem still exists as of March 2014. You can hear the sound the machine makes while showing you the correct pattern, but the orbs do not light up.

I found that the control panel in the center of the estate, surrounded by water and trolls, works fine.

From memory, there's two, or maybe even three possible control panels in Eastern Holdings, not all of them will be the quest one

Since you will also come across this exact same type of puzzle later as you level up, one in Seratos and one in the Dendrome, a good tip might be to head to the Carnival in Tempest Bay by the Docks for some 'practice'.

The first game you come across is the same type of memory game, following the coloured orbs in sequence.
