World Event Quest: Parcels Through The Cracks is broken/bugged

So after doing nothing but fire and earth (plus others) for the last 3 days (and getting close to 100 ISS per day), I only have FIVE POWERCELLS and nothing else.

I think it's just RNG.
I was able to finish the quest a few hours, or 6 Fire/Earth Zone Events after I got the quest on Laethys. There were times when I got 3 powercells, other times none; and one time when I got nothing at all (none of the other stuff).

I just assumed RNG. Same with the RoS World Event back early last year.

Two days of doing every fire and earth event that came down the pike netted me exactly 2 parts. I have three characters I want to do this chain for, but will I even be able to complete it for one?

Seeing as Unlikely Alliances was created just for this world event, it's utterly ridiculous that it does not drop a thing towards this quest.

I found myself getting really angry earlier, after running these events all fricking day and nothing to show for it.

I'm having the same issue as are many of my guildies.
It seems the zone events are supposed to drop 2 quest items each.
But at the moment they can drop stuff you already have so sometimes you'll get 1 item, sometimes none.
Please fix.

I just finished the event after doing obscene amounts of fire and earth events over the last week. The only reliable events for parts were the fire and earth events from ember isle, which always gave me 2-3 parts. All other events in the game usually gave me nothing, or occasionally one part. Even if you just do ember isle events, the problem becomes waiting for one to happen, and now that you want earth and fire events every other event seems to happen instead.

Really buggy quest for it all or just bad RNG for drops. Not really enjoying having to grind a lot more so than what I normally do, just to get so little items to drop.

Finally finished it. Took 4 and a half days of being on almost all day waiting for Earth and Fire zone events that counted.
I found out that low level zone events can drop the quest items (or the power cells at least)
Someone on my server also said they drop from major fire rifts, but I can't confirm that.

The next step is a 5-man quest where you kill a dude in Shimmersand.
The reward is epic gloves that are essentially the planar gloves you can get from the Keeper's (these gloves DO count towards your blighted set)

The quest text implies that there's more quests to come.

All I can say is that that specific quest, parcels through the cracks, was implemented horribly and I'm rather surprised Trion hasn't fixed this yet, since there's only one week left of this event and no everyone has the ability to stay on the game for almost a week straight or random chance drops from random chance events.

My only hope for me is that the next set of quests are not as stupid and horribly implemented.

Like many, I've completed 7 or 8 earth/fire zone events and gotten nothing towards the quest. Please implement some sort of hot fix that checks what you have, and gives you what you need for the quest objectives, maybe 2 at a time. Otherwise, Phase 3 of the event will come and I think we'll miss out on our chance to do the 3rd part of this quest chain because RNG is dictating when we finish the 2nd part.

I havent been able to finish this quest with even one character yet, I had the day off yesterday and wasnt even able to play, was hoping to get some powercells. FInally late last night I got 3 from the third fire/earth event I did. Still 3 to get. Been more death, life and wind events than fire/earth.

Its gotten so bad, I am now refusing to go into dungeons with guildmates in case I miss an event.

Getting so bored, I have bought another game, and only log in when somone says an event is up.
What with all the fishing I did last week, to try to get recipes, i am a little bored out. So am thinking is it worth it to play a game where you have a week to finish a quest and its so random if you can.

I still have 3 other characters that I wish to do this event with. 2 of them are on the same step.

I got nothing but powercell's for the first couple days. Then nothing at all for a few events. Then in the space of 3-4 hours and a 3-4 events i got every other item and turned it in (server first so clearly others having RNG fun).

I only saw 1 earth event yesterday and got nothing for quest. The rest were life, water, air, & death :[

Apparently not even Ember Isle fire/earth events drop these items. No event I have participated in, including Unlikely Alliances, drops these items except for Golden Embers and Hammer and Flame. I'm going out of my mind trying to get these things. Like others, I've had to stop doing everything else and just chase events all day. I've been doing this for days and still not gotten all the required items.

Trion's been entirely too slow fixing this.
