Achievment: Mushroom Soup

I think I may have just found the source of this problem. After uploading, to youtube, a video of myself failing yet again to get this achivement, I happened to watch a similar upload:

and notice they were also using simple meter and Wired's Raid killer. Now while i was jumping mushrooms I had all my addons disabled, so i removed them completly from the addons folder and restarted the game and tried again...

I finally got the Mushroom Soup achievement. After about 30 or 40 hours of game time over several weeks this is what I did to make it work:

- Completely remove all addons
- Removed all of my buffs
- Removed all of my equipment

Then it worked first time! Should have got 500 points instead of 5!

Tried it four times. Watched a couple videos to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong. (thank you wonderful people for posting your own achievments. Its amazing the stuff you find on youtube) and tried it three more times. No joy. I have no add-ons enabled so I don't need to disable any. Hit all the mushrooms and did it in just over 20 seconds each time. No award, no title, no achievement, but I killed a whole lotta trolls going back up the tree each time.

Also... for those of you who are hunting.. Slashtail is hanging out at the top of the tree now, too.

I tried yesterday as well but had no luck.

It is doable. I died around 100 times before I got it. What I can say is that you should only jump twice. Once to get to the first mushroom (and even then I sometimes did not reach it and fell 1 floor below or to my death even further down). Then on that mushroom you will see king of a chip in it/a crack. Place yourself to the right of it and just fall down to the next mushroom. On this one you will see something that looks like it could be almost like a bike jump. Go to it in the very corner and DO NOT JUMP just get to the corner till you fall down. You will fall down to the next mushroom. You need to be alone because if some1 else is in that corner with you you will fall to your death. Then you fall down on the same side once or twice more. NO JUMPING JUST FALL. Then you switch sides. You just fall to all of them except the pre-last mushroom very close to the floor. You HAVE TO JUMP on this one or you won't reach it. Do it slowly follow my instructions. Once you are able to make it alive to the bottom floor work on your speed. Yes it sucks to have to clear the way back to the top all the time trust me I died over 100x and this is the only way I go tit done and a guildie got it done this way too ,,,best of luck

My boyfriend and I did eventually get this after many attempts. One thing to pay attention to, is there is a spot where you may brush the tree trunk as you are falling from one mushroom to another. I got the achieve when I consciously avoided the tree trunk. I did not have to remove any addons or gear.

I have actually PM'ed the dev who was posting in this thread awhile back, seeing as he appears to have forgotten about this. There are no patch notes mentioning a fix to this, nor did he update this thread as promised, but I have gotten no response.

Heh, would be neat to see an xp locked level 1 bank alt with the shroomer title. Rally scroll to top and escort back up if needed...

I finally got it, and these instructions seemed the closest to correct based on my experience. I jumped at different times, so it's not quite 100%, but the very important thing that was obviously different was walking off the second mushroom to get to a different third one. Orginally I had been jumping from the second mushroom, to the one fairly far away from it; in fact, this method is shown in the videos I could find of getting the achievement. I assume it's been changed.

After two tries making sure to first walk to the one in between, I got the achievement.

I tried again a bunch yesterday and it still isn't working. (at least properly anyway)
I have this achievement on 5 other toons, and I am doing it the same way I got the achievement on all of them. Takes me 20 seconds to get to the bottom. Still...no soup.
