Marshal Kain story quests, what next? (Just finished One Soldier to Another)

I've read that in order to get the Greater Essence I have to go through the Marshal Kain storyline. I just finished the part where you destroy the Remnant of Aedraxis in IPP and he axed me in half. After talking to Cyril (One Soldier to Another) I see no followup quests.

What is the next step?
