Forceful Persuasion quest from Iron Pine Peak

Is anyone else getting a glitch on this quest?

I get the mist speaker down to 20% health or so. It turns green and then resets to aggessive/red and 100% health.

Abandoning and resetting the quest either give the same results or if I can get it to stay green, then I cannot talk with the mob.

Ok so I sort of figured it out:

Basically, keep trying until you "kill" him and he turns green. It may take several tries. Even when you do this, you won't be able to talk to him.

However, if you sit there and do nothing for awhile, eventually a speak icon seems to pop on him, and i was able to talk to him.

It is still bugged, but maybe you can get by it by trying this.

Almost ;) . I killed him a few times and he finally stayed green but no way to interactive. A couple minutes later he just disappeared.

I managed to completely kill the thing during one of my attempts. But after like 10 times, I gave up. Guess I'll have to wait for the bug fix.

Tried everything, still have yet to finish it

Got told you have to interrupt his heal or he resets, obviously a troll because there is no heal and even if you stunlock him 100-20 or whenever he goes friendly, he still resets

Thank you for this thread. Looking into it now, and it looks like it has been broken for quite a while. I already have fixed the issue with the Mist Speaker resetting internally, and I am looking into the second issue with the NPC refusing to speak once friendly right now.

I hate to sound rude, but you didn't fix it. He keeps resetting immediately after going green. Thanks for looking into it, though. Hopefully I can finish this quest soon ^.^

Edit: After killing him repeatedly and resetting the quest 7 times, I managed to get him to stay green. But as you said, he won't talk.

The Myst Speaker turns green for half a second then resets and attacks again. I tried fighting him with pet, with out pet , range, melee , staying very close inside his circle, I tried to just stop hitting him toward the end and it didn't matter. He resets several times and then just vanishes. I see his chat bubble on the map at this point but he is no where to be found. Ive had Olmos re summon him several times , came back the next day and tried it but still the same.

I think its definitely bugged.

Tried this quest last night and got to third point of location then server shutdown for 30 min and when I came back online earlier next day it didnt work anymore, it happened exactly what you guys said I dps him down untill his friendly but reset imediately after and does so 5 or 6 times then he disappears, also tried to get him to stay green but im not able to speak to him after a while he just disappears
