Post The Handbook to Rare Spawn Creatures of Telara

    Hello fellow Rare Bounty Hunters!

This thread is dedicated in the seeking of rare spawned creatures across the lands of Telara. Some are common knowledge while others remain legendary in their location and their devious natures. The purpose of this thread is to have a collection of information on all these fabled tyrants of Telara and collect their bounties and some nifty achievements that correspond with them.

What is a rare spawn creature? Though they look like normal creatures wandering the area, these special ones are marked with a blue diamond above their portrait. Why have you not seen more of these monsters you ask? They are rare for a reason! These creatures also can blend in quite well with other fellow monsters, creating a perfect camouflage for themselves and you the hunter would pass by them. Others would rather flaunt their presence in an area and assert their personality despite the local monsters around them.

To help the cause and complete this little handbook of treasures, please post about your kills on these monsters. Name, Zone Location and Subzone Location, Coordinates and the prized killshot of the mob is all that is needed to record this information and be available for everyone seeking to kill these creatures.

    Happy Hunting!

And please get this stickied so this does not get lost and future hunters have a handbook for their adventures.

    >>Note from the OP<< With Patch 1.2 (Spoils of War) implemented, the final 4 rare spawns are now placed in the game and Ultimate Hunter achievement is now achievable! Congratulations to those who had the dedication to killing all these elusive monsters.

**edit** This is getting bumped up for guide status! Keep posting so more information is accurate and becomes a complete guide. Thank you for all who has placed their input on this thread. Keep it up!

    Big thanks to:
Dandai for map pics for Shimmer and Moonshade rares.
Crit Error for coords on a few Iron Pine rares and Shimmersand ones.
keeper796 for the immense amount of coordinates listed.
Anashka for a few Gloamwood rare locations and a few unlisted rares.
Ailurion for keeping the thread alive and confirming some coords in Gloamwood.
Wani for Stonefield rare locations and map pics.
Mrsbuttsack for various mob locations and confirmation in a few unconfirmed locations.
Smyrin for some screen captures on mobs.
Frogspring for Stonefield and Scarlet Gorge locations.
Graye for sniping a good screencap on Aelfwar Moonshade Emissary and coords.
Arkeid for confirmation on Razormane's trigger NPC (Fenwyn Wolftongue).
and the patience of Alana, Ghast, Stevie and Daemous of <Lawless> on Spitescar-US in having them drag me to places for rare spawns.

This does indeed help a long way. Unfortunately until my ticket is resolved with Trion on the forums to allow editing after 5 minutes of posting, I can't add this information for people!

Anyone happen to know where Jhomm the Cruel, Bone-Fed Ripper, or Forgotten Sacrifice spawn in Droughtlands? Any one of those will get me the achievement and I'd like to get it when the servers come back up.

Has anyone killed the rare mobs that spawn in the starter area? If so does anyone know their spawntimes? Been camping the defiant one for a while now and haven't seen it.

    Guardian side:

    Frona Lykeria
    Level 5 Hunter
Dropped her own bow (green) Lykeria's Bow

Unfortunately I do not have a /loc for you, but I was on my Purge Construct Corpses quest all the way to the left in the forest where you see the beginning of some buildings.

Got pictures from both mob and item.

Literally right off the road (north side) between 3 springs and Hammerknell spawns Arumal. He wanders a bit, but always in that area. (oddly, this time I saw him and there were lvl 1 Marmot critters EVERWHERE :P )

Droughtlands has two strange rare spawns that I've seen. Neither are part of the meta-achievement or the Droughtlands rare achievement. One of them patrols the road from Freemarch to Droughtlands and his name is Pierriz. The other is a manticore named Xandill that was on the top floor of Lantern Hook.

Yeah he wanders near the bridge with a large cockatrice both have the diamond mark but neither are on the rare mob list. I suspect that they may be part of the mission impossible achievement but that's only speculation on my part.

Question (Might be slightly off topic)

I heard someone here mention rare spawns in the starter area? Do those count towards the final achievement for legendary bounty hunter? If so, I`m fubared.
