Default Feeding the Trolls - The Top 3 Rants that Should Become Reality @TTH

While most demands of forum trolls are simply meant to incite their readers, even they can hit the nail on the head from time to time. Here are the top 3 demands from the Rift forums that deserve some strong consideration.

The official Rift forums are a wealth of information, a hotbed of knowledge and a great communication tool between members of the development team and the community. They are also a bridge. Not the idyllic metaphorical bridge that brings two divergent sides together though. No, they are a bridge that act as a virtual home, a covering that even the most cursory glance at reveals its seedy occupants – trolls.

Or...they could just be your top 3 considerations because It's your website.

I have my own idea about Rift's pvp. I believe the mechanics are there for them to make a system that most would enjoy, maybe even people who aren't very much into pvp. I posted it on my blog last week.

I have to agree with some other posters.....

While you may have a valid point, I don't want to follow links to your blog, guild website, fansite, facebook, or anything else to hear your opinion. If you can't post it here, too bad, so sad...

I'm not going to give you a "view count".

Nerf warriors please, i'm serious not trying to troll. I play a rogue and warriors mostly pwn me, they need a big nerf, as do mages clerics and squirrels.

Buff rogues especial the types I play.

Then don't click it. I couldn't care less about view count. I don't even track my stats. But I do have a lot of friends, some who play Rift and some who don't, and I use my website as a way for us to share gaming related stuff to a central location instead of in multiple locations. So if I type out a long article I'm just going to post it there and the people I really want to see it are going to. If anyone here chooses not to I won't lose any sleep over it.

But the OP's link is a gaming site that is actually meant to make money. And I believe people should follow those links. We should fully support sites that have any media about Rift. Some game media sites completely washed their hands of Rift as soon as SWTOR came out (I'm looking at you gamebreaker) so I support getting more sites like that covering the game.

I agree with you to a point.... Some gaming sites need to be "reminded" that Rift is still a good game...

but it's obvious to me what the difference is between a gaming site and a personal blog. By all means, post things for your friends to read at their leisure, but without trying to insult you or enflame you, not everyone here is your "friend." While we may be interested in your opinions, we would rather read them here than traveling off site. That is all I was trying to say.

    Good luck to you.

PVP Balance: I don't think the majority of problem for pvp comes from the pre-50 players. PVP problems come after you hit 50.
Shard Mergers: Trion needs to make some more trial shards for shards that are low. This will move the players on those shards to some shards that are sustainable.
Tradeskills: I think tradeskills to be viable needs to focus on augments.

I agree that PVP should not be about gear progression. Unfortunately, PVP gear has to get better because PVE gear gets better.

I already have more plat than I'll ever spend from crafting, and not one rune was made.

What do you think tradeskillers are going to spend their plat on? There is NOTHING.

Ten Ton Hammer isn't my personal blog, it's a gaming website that specializes in massively multiplayer online games.
