Not because of the fact it was going f2p, in fact I just resubbed. The new expansion was a big draw for me and I wanted to see if it was as much fun as I remembered. I downloaded and signed in, fully expecting to play a while as a trial player. I played about a hour and realized it is a lot of fun and left game to resub. Looking at all the info regarding Rift i can't see it as Free 2 Play but more as Freemium

First, it's my choice to play the game, i get that. What i don't get is why this is called free 2 play in regards to ppl like me who've played from the start, bought the expansion and gametime. Now i still have to buy stuff in order to have a full experience of the game(new souls, mounts, etc). Saying i don't have to buy that to fully experience the game makes no sense but convince me otherwise please. Rift+Storm Legion will be playable for free to a fresh player at 12 of June? Or he must buy the game and the expansion? And second, I heard that Rift Shop will sell items that makes the game P2W, is it true? If only sells some cosmetic items etc., it is OK for me but if it sells +stat bonus potions and epic armor is not.

I have a lvl 50 mage that had been collecting dust that I wanted to see if I could bring it back for the free to play model next month. When I checked my acct it showed that I had a free 3 day pass to play. Cool, so I check it all out and I am hooked again.

I then check out the Storm Legion expansion features and I am sold. So I bought a copy on Amazon so my acct will be upgraded in time for f2p and I get 30 days free to keep me going until then, and I can start gaining exp toward lvl 60.

Well I upgraded my acct, it's letting me play with all the features (no more popups to subscribe) and it even said I leveled up after I did some quests and sealed some rifts. But it only leveled up my planar attunement. I am still lvl 50. How do I start gaining adventure exp towards lvl 51? Do I need to do a quest or talk to an NPC or is there a setting I need to turn on?

But I am a hardcore PvP player.. I level'd entirely by just doing pvp, and I have no problem contiueing to PvP to 30+. The only problem I am starting to see is this game hates PvP Gear, I go to PvP vendors and they only sell 2 pieces of gear, other wise I need Planar. I hate questing and Rift grinding, why isnt there more pvp gear sold by vendors? Or maybe someone can recommend an alternative leveling plan that I might enjoy?

Just wondering who I speak to (or what exactly it means), as the one in Sanctum at least, gives no likely options. The pet is maxed out at 30, though I'm only one level in front at the minute.

Don't really want to have to spend more points on the Ranger ability either (which is its other suggestion)

I'm noticing most of the gear from the 50 raids is obsolete pretty quick now, so I guess it's best to just push to 60 and ignore anything but the IA's and random dungeon groups? I recently heard RIFT is going f2p, and it looks awesome. After spending awhile getting my account in order (forced change of password/questions) I am trying to activate RIFT Lite on the homepage and it says it sent me an email to verify it, but I never get an email.

What can I do to play the game for free now while I wait for f2p?
