I logged on to the PTS, clicked on the vendors in the Tempest Bay PVE room and everything can be bought with cash, except the raid gear.

Yes, buying lessers, lures, expert dungeon gear won't give you the "best" gear around and hence is not "Buy-to-Win", but heck, it sure gives those that has a lot of money a huge advantage compared to those that don't...

I seriously wanted to give F2P a chance because I thought the cash shop would only sell vanity items and some boosts but I did not expect clicking every single vendor in the tempest bay room to link me to the cash shop and almost all of them can be bought with cash.

What happened to the Rift that gave everyone an equal footing based on the effort they put in game and not the amount of money they have? I am pretty sure Rift can go F2P and have a cash shop without jeopardizing that concept. Exploding computers, falling outs with guildies. I just recently had a chance to jump back in with the Raptr promo, and the game seems to have maintained most of what I enjoyed in the first place. My only problem was hitting 60 and trying to get the gear to start experts and such. It seemed like my only option to get enough gear to get to the 300 toughness and reasonable HP values not to get crushed in experts, I had to grind a ton of world events. This led to me getting kinda bored. With the F2P announcement I'm even more intrigued to stick with it, I'd just wish they'd find a way to smooth that transition. I highly enjoy progressing through tier of content, but having to farm a vast amount of Infinity Stones via events and stuff just feels very random and not all that fun.
